Fabinho's now committed his 600th foul of the match and still no card.

Er? How can Fabinho be playing? Didn't he get sent off against us for a forearm smash on Son?

Oh, hang on, I may be mixing it up with that Doctor Strange multiverse of madness film. It might have happened in a different reality where normal laws of football apply.

All this benefit of doubt and refusal to send off Varpool players etc all adds up to no suspensions, which means players are always available and a fresher squad, which means less chance of picking up injuries and less fatigue. Add all that to all the other gifts raining down on Varpool on a weekly basis, and it is easy to see why they are so high up the league.

I'm not actually watching it, but I'm sure Stevie G has instructed hist team to kick the opposition to death like he did with them against us?
They have barely put a tackle in, not that they have to for free kicks to be given away in this game. It is a complete contrast to the overly aggressive way they played against us.

Except of course where a suspension is advantageous. I wonder if Xhaka had been available instead of suspended for the postponed game against us it could have gone ahead? (If so, they should have given special dispensation for him to play instead of make the cowardly decision they did.)
