Didn't think Leeds would get anything but it's important to take some positives...

1) 2-0 up after 10mins and against 10 men from half an hour, this could have been a cricket score and wiped out half our GD advantage, but it didn't.
2) Arsenal looked surprisingly lethargic given their lack of cup football since January.

My gut feeling is Everton will be safe by the final game of the season and it'll be between Burnley and Leeds, which means our hopes rest with the Toon.

Onwards to Thursday, let's batter them.

I wouldn’t say lethargic. I think we took our foot off the gas and started to take things easily because of how comfortably we were dominating the first-half. Our intensity dropped off and it was like we were playing a pre-season friendly.

What should give you confidence is that we had a million chances to kill the tie off before Leeds halved the deficit and we didn’t take any of them. We don’t score enough and are profligate in front of goal.

We can’t do that against you if we want to take something.

I hate West Ham for obvious reasons but anyone else hoping they win their games in hand to knock Utd out of the Europa spot? They have a +10 GD on Utd and both can finish on 61 points.

Exactly. If we don't win that then anything else is irrelevant.

Very strange performance from them today. And from Leeds, actually. They seemed hell bent on self-immolation in the first half, but could have pulled it back by the end.

It isn't entirely out of the question that we both finish on 69 points, e.g. if you lose to us and Toon then beat Everton while we beat you, draw to Burnley and beat Norwich. In that event, it comes down to GD. So I was surprised you didn't put the pedal to the floor and push for as many goals as possible.

We could also both finish on 66, 67 or 68 points but the scenarios for those to happen are incredibly unlikely as I don't see you failing to win any of your final 3 games.

They kept the GD gain to 1 (should it come to that) .

My sentiments too,
However, if Spurs win the NLD and the above comes to pass,
would Lampard give Dele Alli a starting XI slot ...

Man Utd in the EL is severe financial punishment for them.
The Spanners being in EL2 is likely to agitate some
Payet wannabees in their squad (for those who have tasted
a small piece of UEFA land and want more) .

Wolves can still overtake Utd. They just have to beat Norwich, City and Liverpool. Simple. <ok>

Lascelles heads the ball away from his own keeper and gives City a corner. 3-0 City. <doh>
I wonder where he'll be playing next season?
