Yeh, but don`t expect Mane to receive any punishment of any kind. Mane plays for the FA, PL and media darlings, and (like all of their players) gets away with murder on the pitch, I can remember him giving Tierney a forearm smash and Azpilicueta an elbow with zero punishment on both occasions, both were clear red cards.
I wonder where Varpool would be in the league if the officials did their jobs properly, and lets not forget Keita being let off a clear red card in the League Cup final also. Bent as fack, I`ve being saying it for years and all VAR has done is prove it.
The referee even goes to put the whistle to his mouth for a split second and then thinks better of it, its like he knows it was a penalty but dare not give it. Bent and corrupt as fack.
Last season they were worst off in terms of VAR decisions going against them.
This year they top the league with a net gain of +4 decisions in their favour.
What these stats fail to take into account is, of course, the number of incidents not looked at by VAR that seemed blatantly obvious - case in point being Mane's double assault yesterday.
To be fair to the dirty, cheating Red Scouse, Mane's always had this treatment.
I can remember a game against us when he was at Southampton when he should've got about 8 cards.
Utterly ludicrous refereeing and they stole a draw because of it.

That's probably what prompted Liverpool to sign him. They do love an unpunishable cheat.
Suarez was never sent off in the Premier League, for example.
Or Fabinho and Tiago against City in the League, Kelleher in the FA Cup, etc.
They're a very dirty team and largely get away with it.
The officials don't want to interfere in the title race, so they do it by not doing their jobs.
This isn't true. We lost 4-1 to Brentford with Rudiger and 3-1 to Real Madrid. Outside of 2021 under Tuchel, Rudiger has never been consistently good. We will miss his character and drive but purely as a defender he is replacable.
This is what i've consistently said about LFC since 18/19 season.
What no stat can account for is parity - there is no way that penalty would not have been at least reviewed if it were Salah at 0-0 in front of the Kop, just as there is no way LFC's 2nd goal v THFC would have stood if Kane had handballed it and not Salah. Lukaku's goal in the final should have stood as well.

When Klopp had a meltdown about refs after their game against you they lost the next game and then of course, we were the game after that and Mane escaped a blatant red card after an elbow.
Fair comment you know more about your team than I do, I based my comment on the last 2 games didn't watch the Brentford match and Real were very good in the first leg IMO.
He's been superb under Tuchel in the 5ATB system, not pulled up many trees outside of that for club or country though.

Trouble is you look at their run in and they could lose all 5 remaining games. It's a horrible run on paper.
Chelsea have the FA Cup Final days before and surprise surprise Liverpool have the extra day rest so we'll have no choice but to field a weakened team. If we beat United and Everton there's no way of our top players will be seeing serious minutes in that Leeds game, and the dropoff from our starting CBs to reserves (Sarr, Azpilivueta & Chalobah) is probably the biggest in the PL.
So here's the problem in going to play Liverpool away in one of our few remaining matches.
Well first there's the obvious one. They're a very good team. All other things being equal they should beat us. But what's worse is that all other things are not equal, they are also against us. Sounds obvious, but I do wish that the media would one day talk about this. They manage to talk about most other things but for some reason completely avoid the subject of the bias of officials.
So not only do they have a better team, but we also go into the game knowing that whatever happens

I know we've all been thinking that, but I think it helps if it's written down. If possible though, the current situation is even worse. The officials also know that Pool need to win every remaining game, so the pressure is greater than usual. None of them wants to be known as the guy that stopped Pool winning the league (even if mathematically that isn't true, it won't stop the media or fans mentioning it for ever more).
I'm not even saying that there's direct and deliberate bias. It may even be unconscious bias. Give a dodgy decision against a team Pool are playing then it might be mentioned on MOTD (it often isn't even then) but it's almost immediately forgotten. But give a dodgy decision against Pool at any time, let alone when they are going for the title at the end of the season? It will never be forgotten .
It's not surprising that the decisions go like they do, because if you're the official that gives the decision against Pool at this stage of the season beware. This probably even goes for the 50/50 decisions. So they're not going to. And in order to win that match we are going to have to do so against 15 men (ref + linos + VAR). You can also be sure that if a yellow card incident occurs early in the game it will be given against us (when it might normally not have been), but it most certainly won't be given against them. And if by some strange chance one of their players gets a yellow (perhaps for what should be a red), you can be absolutely sure that they won't get a second yellow no matter what they do.
