VAR (Virtual Assistance for Reds) going into overdrive. This doesn't bode well for our match against them. I foresee something more subtle. My prediction is one of their players on a yellow card commits another yellow card offence. But it isn't given. Shock! The media don't bother to mention it. etc etc.

Is there a more tepid derby than the Merseyside derby?

Every season the match goes one of two ways
a.) A tedious draw at Goodison
b.) Everton get crushed like a bug, usually with a sending, off at Anfield

Hardly the pulsating match that Skyte/BT sell it as every single time, is it?

The only penalty thing I saw was when the Everton geezer got a yellow for diving.
Is that what people think should of been a penalty?
If that had been given against us I'd have been livid

Same player, different incident: https://streamja.com/ar6Kz
They've yet to concede a penalty in the Premier League this season. Only team.

I was about to type "it's a penalty", but since I've no idea what constitutes a penalty any more I shall simply say.... things like that are normally given as a penalty. So add the complete lack of pens against Pool to their average of one red card *per season* since Klopp took over and there is clearly no evidence of bias. No. It's all because of Liverpool's brilliance.

They'd never do anything like this, though: https://www.clippituser.tv/c/rqyaya

The Laws are written so badly that no-one has any idea what is and isn't a foul to be fair. Including the referees....
Personally I don't think that was a penalty as I think Gordon swerved in front of Matip who couldn't avoid him. But who knows.

Yes, could easily have been the case. And yet how many times have we heard, perhaps describing a Salah incident, "he felt the contact and went down, so it's a penalty".

Agree...and it's made worse by the complete lack of consistency in how these things are interpreted.
I can live with interpretations I disagree with but not with the complete lack of consistency especially with VAR.

So how are they spelling Manchester Utd?
Or is the narrative wrong?
Ole clearly didn't pass on Fergie's phonebook to Ralf.
Still incredibly resistant to red cards, though. McTominay in particular.
Generally screwed over by the other red filth yesterday, but Penandes should've been off near the end.

I hadn't realised how difficult Leeds' run-in is:

Palace A
City H
Arsenal A
Chelsea H
Brighton H
Brentford A

They also have a significantly worse GD to Burnley and Everton but do have a 4 point cushion on the latter.

Problem is can you see them picking up more than 4 points from that sequence?

They're very much still in the thick of it.
