I like him, thinks he’s very decent but top four/ six starting calibre? Not so sure.
I’d love him at Spurs but purely to backup Kane, not ever to replace him.

I like him, thinks he’s very decent but top four/ six starting calibre? Not so sure.
I’d love him at Spurs but purely to backup Kane, not ever to replace him.
I would probably take him as a starting striker, yeah.
Which may sound crazy, but I do think he's the right profile of player we're looking for and would suit our system.
Also, there isn't a lot of top quality strikers out there. And the ones that are available, I don't think we can attract them, especially without CL football. The only other way is if we splash out an exorbitant fee on one, which - as we've seen - doesn't always work and wouldn't be smart when we have other areas of the squad to reinforce. Would be foolish to blow our transfer kitty on one striker.
So I think we're extremely limited with our options.
If there ever was a moment for a Kane to emerge from our academy, now would be it!

I think Pool may be favourites now, because "help" from the officials is easily enough to overcome a point. Indeed it's started already. If Pool had anyone sent off yesterday it might have affected the game. But it also affects the game they get banned from (or not). I assume that would have been their next league game against ManU. Now clearly ManU can't beat an egg, but they have a small chance. No, not "no" chance. After all, if the results of matches were determined before they started there would be no point in playing them, and no unexpected results would ever occur.
I thought the coverage of City v Liverpool match in game was totally over the top in terms of Tyler, Neville, and Carragher banging on about the brilliant quality of the football, but I thought that it was a decent match and was extremely competitive, but it was littered with the sort of cynical fouls that these 2 teams commit with a greater frequency than any other teams and Taylor seemed quite happy to let it go. They can both play decent football and are the best 2 teams in the league for sure but I would like the coverage to be a little more honest and call out the fouls for what they are.
I only saw the first half but I thought it was great. Plenty of edge to the game and two very well coached teams with tons of individual quality. Foden had some outrageous touches, in particular.
Foden was excellent and the first half was better than the 2nd! The edge remained throughout but got more pronounced the longer the game went on.
Late on in the game. De Bruyne was running through on goal and was cynically brought down by Van Dijk. He got up and they sort of smiled at each other as if to say that such a foul is totally acceptable.
That's where football is nowadays.
I was trying to find out why Spurs have made this come back and Arsenal have gone down the pan. Over here it's all City and Pool and wet handkerchieves for the Man United disaster. Sad really!

An intriguing end of season in the Championship. Fulham are pretty much up despite yesterdays setback. Forest are flying and reckon they can pip Bournemouth for an automatic spot, which given they still have to play them plus Bournemouth still have to play Fulham, is not unrealistic. QPR are on a nightmare run, Blackburn have hit a brick wall, so both Huddersfield and Luton have realistic chances of staying where they currently are.
