I`m not sure what all this means for Chelsea FC, but it would be wonderful if they disappear out of existence, or at the very least back to the championship where they belong.

All this will do, in my opinion, is hurry the sale and stop Abramovich getting any of the money for now.
The club will be sold to some other ****bag or ****bags and get back to normal before the end of the month.

Of course, if that UK property magnate making a lot of noise buys them and goes full George Reynolds, a nine point deduction will be the least of their worries...

Unfortunately this is true. Somehow that club always land on their feet

The only manager I've truly wanted to return was Burkinshaw back in the day , poch had his day with us and got so near I've not seen any thing that he's done with PSG that makes me want him back
Martin Jol went too soon and the bad taste that left was awful for the club. I'd have taken him back like a shot at the time - if only to put Wenger back in his box! <laugh>

Just catching up on the Chelsea uproar.

This is completely new legal terrain for the Govt and the PL (although it should have been in the basic legalese of the bloody fit and proper persons test. Farcical.) and so I am thoroughly confused. Can someone summarise the absolute worst case scenario for Chelsea FC?

I'll then take the summary, put music to it and dance dance dance. <party>

"NEW: Telecommunications company Three confirm to @TimesSport that their
£40million a year sponsorship deal with Chelsea is now ‘under review’.

Is Three still part (directly or other) of Lee Ka Shings' Hutchinson mega corp ??

As a HK citizen, he in particular may not be too happy
about the actions of an authoritarian regime engaging
in military action and political clampdowns.

His valuation is said to be 4.5 billion.
Taking back his own 1.5 of that means he values Chelsky at 3bn.
Will do a quick check to see if there is cursory info
from Deloitte and Swiss Ramble, as to what they think the value is ....

"In sanctioning Abramovich, UK govt says he "has had a close relationship [with Putin] for decades...[including] gaining a financial or other material benefit from Putin"."
Fit and proper person?

Political reality. Putin to oligarksys ...

You wanna :

1. keep all the wealth you acquired during the
1990s "wild west" era of the post USSR collapse,
no questions asked ??

2. stay alive ??

then don't f**k with me. Ever.

Any combination of Joe Lewis, Daniel Levy, Alan Sugar and Irving Scholar buy them....

Has to be Sugar.

"Blood out of a stone" spending.
No understanding of the tribal (not consumer) loyalty to a club.

And for the Spurs banter fodder, a UK Jewish owner
for the away supporters to sing all the Y word songs
to get the usual response.

This is true, but Abramovich was part of the wild west era and is very close to Putin.
He's like the consigliere to Putin's don. He's not a victim, by any stretch of the imagination.
