The Klopp effect. Gets his way by being a whiny bitch.

Probably same reason Mane didn’t get sent off for a clear elbow today too.

No doubt in my mind if the roles were reversed it would have been a red. No VAR check for that but a VAR check for both our goals and for Mount in what was just a mere clash.

I still think us and LFC will be ok but for the time being we are definitely dragged back into it. LFC have far too much quality and providing their Anfield form holds firm they will walk 2nd.

The big question will be the impact of AFCON as they'll be without Salah and Mane for up to a month.

IIRC, we're the only side in the top half not sending players, although I did read somewhere that Benhrama wasn't going in the end so that would make it us and West Ham.

Looking forward to seeing Kepa back in goal?

Watford might have an uptick in form due to not allowing Emmanel Dennis to join up with the Nigeria squad

"Lautaro Martinez coming here with me at Chelsea in the future? No... Lautaro, you stay in Milan, I'll be back there"

This line in particular hits deep. The man's even telling players to avoid Chelsea whilst also implying he ain't sticking around <laugh>

Why is that bad?

And then there's this, from https://www.bbc.com/sport/59852823:

"Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, 28, is unhappy at Chelsea and could try and force a reunion with former manager Antonio Conte at Tottenham in the summer."

https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calc...re-caccia-vlahovic-430720144445_preview.shtml

I don't see how anyone is finding fault with the great man.

Chelsea won’t sell to Spurs.

I wouldn’t want Lukaku anyway, yes under a Conte he was very good at Inter but I think he’s a huge downgrade on Kane and I can’t see both playing in the same team.

Oh, I don't want him either.

But, intelligent as he is, I believe that he was outraged at the sources of Abramovich's money, and to strike a blow for justice, arranged to have himself sold to Chelsea for 100 million so that he could then bite the hand that fed him as hard as possible.

And for that I salute him.

But maybe I'm reading too much into this.

It sounds like you watched Robin Hood and then ate a load of cheese before bed time.

The games they have are all winnable and their role players are pretty good, they'll be okay with Jota and Firmino I think.

Kepa will be fine as long as the midfield holds firm - City are not really a side that shoot from distance and nor are THFC which are really Kepa's main weaknesses. I thought he did okay in goal against you lot back in September.

Arsenal, Shrewsbury, Arsenal, Brentford and Palace. I think they'll be able to deal with it, unfortunately.

Benrahma is in it, along with Mahrez and a couple of other ex-Leicester players.

United v Woves soon. I think we can be sure that (if required) there will be "the benefit of the doubt" given to the team in red.

And you know what, I really hope I am wrong. If the officials give Wolves a dodgy penalty, don't give United one they deserve, draw the lines incorrectly for a Wolves 'offside' goal or United get away with a few (particularly early) yellow cards (to give but a few examples) then I will be very happy to apologise to the officials.

Fact is, for a team that cost what United's cost, they shouldn't need help from the officials!

Technically we're sending somebody, as Pape Matar Sarr is in the Senegal squad

Wolves should be out of sight ... Will only have themselves to blame when United do them in the 2 nd half.

Jones has done well ... that's a long time to lose from a short career too.

United had 5 attempts and zero attempts in 65 minutes... wolves had 17 attempts and 8 corners.
Traore comes on as a sub and United have 4 attempts (one disallowed for offside and one hit the woodwork) and a corner in the next 5 minutes...and wolves don't get out of there half.

Can see why we want him <laugh>
