After reading the quotes yesterday, my initial thought was that Lukaku's intention behind this interview was to repair the relationship with the Inter fans, who were clearly aggrieved at the circumstances of how he left the club.

However, these quotes which have been publicised today are absolutely insane. Just 6 months after joining Chelsea for a club-record fee and supposedly being a 'Chelsea fan'. These quotes today certainly don't come across as someone who wants to be there.

He isn't just talking about going back to Inter 'one day', he said he wants to go back in 'his prime' and that he effectively wants their best players to remain there because he'll be back soon <laugh>. Not what you want to hear from a player you've forked all that money on.

Also, Lukaku isn't stupid. He can speak 6 languages fluently. He's not unaware as to how this would come across, even if the interview was 3 weeks ago. Ornstein was saying that even his representatives had no idea he'd done this interview. So I'm beginning to think the intention is more sinister and perhaps he's trying to push Tuchel out? I can't think of any other tangible reason of doing an interview like this. And the timing of it being released as well - surely he'd have a say in that, too.

Mental.

He's not half as good as he thinks he is.

Inter are a better team without him and Chelsea were a better team without him as well. I hope we get rid in the summer.

Have to disgaree personally district.

I was never a big fan of him before but he was great at inter (they won the league).

For us, we are too slow in possession when he relies on the counter attack and receiving the ball to feet to turn a striker/bully them and he's been mostly strong in general (much worse in the air than i imagined though). his touch is rope but give him a few he'll turn his defender and be a danger whilst right now we just like to pass it around with whole defences set.

His finishing is pretty deadly but we don't play correctly with him and he's had injuries, Shame really but after the interview i'm not sure he can stay whilst tuchel is in charge

They should have had a pen too imo.
Yes, but so should City towards the end and Arsenal should've had other players sent off.
Saka's celebration was an obvious yellow, then he got booked later for calling for a card.
Xhaka was Xhaka.
Ramsdale scuffed the penalty spot, then fouled in the box after an incorrect offside call.

Not sure the ramsdale foul was a foul. Likewise the ederson one i still can't make my mind up and thats exactly what i want from var, if its that close keep to the refs decision
