I think it's clear that unless you can adapt and change your tactics to fit a situation or a set of players you can hardly call yourself a manager. A coach yes but a manager needs, by definition, to manage. Spurs need a manager not a coach. I agree, as far as my knowledge of PL managers goes, with your selection of Rodgers, Moyes and Bruce. It's interesting that they are all from the British Isles with all these expensive managers from other leagues you might expect them to figure in such a list but no. I am not sure where to take this but it makes you think.

Have you disagree. Bruce is terrible. Moyes only had one way of playing (defensively) although he's doing a fantastic job at West ham. Would i trust him at a big club. No chance.
Rodgers is the only one i agree with. You have a better chance with him. I also quite like the look of potter.
I wasn't making the argument that Bruce is a good manager. He isn't. But he has shown a willingness this season to change his approach after a decade of using the same tactics. Even if he only did so because he caved in to fan pressure on social media, the fact remains he deserves a lot of credit for having the balls and humility to have done so.
Totally disagree about Moyes. West Ham have set up very differently to the way they played last season and indeed the way most of his sides have played. He has noted their lack of a proper target man and has instead utilised the pace of Bowen, Antonio and Lingard to start most matches at breakneck speed, often seeing his side score 2 or even 3 goals in the first half. They are also demonstrably more profligate defensively than any of his previous sides. He has realised that to get the best out of his attackers and FBs such as Cresswell, he needed to be more expansive. He added Soucek to Rice to toughen the midfield and prevent the team from getting overrun and so far, it had worked. Pressure is starting to show as we approach squeaky bum time but to my mind if they qualify for the CL, Moyes deserves MOTY.
The irony is that everything Moyes has adapted about his game are the things Mourinho failed to.
Why would Rodgers leave Leicester (bullshit league excepted)?
Leicester looks like a good environment for him. The club are spending good money on his squad and they look like us under Poch - making strong progress.
We look like trouble with no money and a large dose of Levy thrown in for good measure.
It ain't impossible but I'd not bet a penny of my money on it.
Moyes has always loved a tough team (its why he always started carthorses at United). As for fullbacks and wingers, thats what he did at everton. Where has Brucey made changes? It's still full out defence on the newcastle front isn't it? (i havent been watching but shots on goal).
Most managers make subtle changes, you could argue Mourinho went all out attacking football at chelsea 2nd cycle, earlier this season when you boys were banging the goals in and has reverted to form. You can't argue that the tactics have been chalk and cheese between the "good" form period and the bad form period.

There has always been a question over his ability to get his teams across the line. Liverpool's slip up and Leicester's end of season collapse last year were indicative of that. But if he can seal top 4 and the FA cup this year, that monkey is well and truly off his back.
