Ok maybe not death threats but I’m glad something has happened to make him take a look in the mirror

refs need to be held accountable for their major **** ups...it’s not good enough.

We live in a ****ed up world tbh.
The net can be brilliant...for example,
I love this place...I find it a great place to chat and joke. I like the debates, the disagreements and it makes matchdays (when I can't go) much more enjoyable.

It feels like a community, like got to the pub.
There's a good age range...listening to @maggie blanchflower and @bigsmithy9 talk about the 61 team is great and listening to the perspective of those who grew up watching us in the late 90s or early 2000s gives a different perspective.

I love Instagram but my football account and my general acount (set up to share photos with my girls) are not in my name ... cos I don't want the kids I work with (or their families) finding.

However the net is also a poisonous, dangerous place. The amount of filth, threats and hatred spewed out on a daily basis is frightening.

I dislike the way Mike Dean referees our matches and think the standard of refereeing in abysmal but ffs ... sending death threats ????

I genuinely despair at the cruelty of some

fair enough mate

I won’t do it again

He should be suspended for four weeks without pay because he cost me 6 points for my fantasy team. Seriously though all referees should face sanctions for glaring errors. Demotion to lower leagues is not sufficient. They should also face the media after every game to explain their decisions, especially when their seems to have been a lack of consistency in their performance

The issue is The FA can't be bothered to consider that their officials are simply not fit for purpose

FIFA told them loud and clear three years ago, FFS

You are absolutely spot on and here lies the problem. The FA no longer consider refs to be their problem because it trusts PGMOL to do its job, but PGMOL is run by an ex-ref who was one of the most incompetent and easily manipulated refs it has ever been my misfortune to see ref my team and he takes those 2 traits into his current role. The trouble is I am not sure who I would want involved - Keith Hackett,is very vocal and seems to make a lot of sense. Mark Halsey (who I still hold responsible for Citys play off win in v The Gills) is another who actually seems quite switched on. But not Dermot Gallagher, or Peter Walton!!

City can't be caught can they?
My brother-in-law was giving it large this weekend about how City were going to win at Anfield for the first time in ages. 4-1 he reckoned.
So I suggested he put his money where his mouth was and place a bet on that. So he did - with Gundogan as first goalscorer.
Won £333 for a £3 stake.
And they didn't even have a forward on the pitch.
Who needs a pint? <ale><ale><ale><ale><ale><ale><ale><ale>

Sucky thinks that Alli quote was after our last game and Trebs buys it hook line n sinker

Burnley v Bournemouth has been given the dubious kick-off time of 5.30pm today.
Quite possibly because nobody gives a ****.
