Playing in empty stadiums changes the game, but you would think there would be less goals because no fans to spur players on but the opposite is the case.
Do players relax more without crowds? Might be the case. Relaxed defenders not good for stopping goals but relaxed attackers more likely to score.

Just a thought.

I think you have that pretty well right.
Nobody to get on a defences back when they are asleep to wake them up (kick up the arse from thousands) and nobody to groan when a striker misses a chance so he just relaxes on his next one instead of freezing/tensing up.

An example up here in Scotland is James Tavernair, he seems to be thriving in the empty stadiums and in the past the Rangers fans have been on his case. I bet he prefers playing in the sterile conditions than before

Which is why we should never get on our own players' cases during the match. It really doesn't help.

Diogo Jota on target again, excellent signing

Yeah really good signing, their recruitment over roughly the last three years has been more or less bang on the money. Only Keita and Minamongo are who’d I’d consider flops, Ox is injury prone but a decent player when he plays. Outside of those, the players they’ve brought in to go in their XI on a regular basis have been first class.

Adrian? <whistle>

Anyone who thinks our CBs are bad should watch this goal.....theirs are literally nowhere to be seen.

<laugh> What do you mean, "you can't be offside in your own half"?
Listen for the whispered "Jesus" in the background, too!

Chav fans are crying on Twitter because Nemanja Vidic won a Skyte Sports poll for the best CB in Premier League history, rather than the racist little turd with the turning circle of HMS Victory who they lionised

The real question is how Saltypool fans didn't do what they usually do and flood the poll to vote van Dijk as the winner...

Id say the same for naby tbh very good player just never seems to play 2games In a row.

Jurys still out on Taki, but a 7m flop ain't too bad if he turns out turd.

Vertonghen has found out that playing alongside Otamendi is a bit different to being with his old mate Alderweireld.
Benfica are 2-1 down to Rangers and down to 10 men, as the former City plank has been dismissed.
Went 1-0 up, got a red and went 2-1 down within about six minutes.

Edit: You know what, I'm going to say that's a bit harsh on the useless twat:

Very little contact and the ball might be going to the keeper, too.
Hard to argue it too much, but he'll feel hard done by, I think.
