Our squad's unbalanced and we still haven't bought a backup striker, despite having a ton of fixtures coming up.
More of the same, I think.

There's a wealth of players out of contract. Some seasoned pros in there.

Surely worth having a look at a few of them, even as a stop gap ?

You're in danger of missing out Spurlock, there are more magic moments in football that have nothing to do with cups. If all you are interested in is bragging rights then you have missed it.

I remember Didier Drogbas goal very well.

I think @Dier Hard mentioned that seeing magical moments is great but him seeing spurs win the carling cup is something he will not forget. The euphoria that came and being part of that moment (this might have been a different spurs fan if i got it wrong)

He managed to **** Poch off with his lack of ambition. Surely Mo will demand more than scraps to feed off ?

Yep.

And Levy will be blind not to know that.

Mou is a serial winner who knows what it takes to get the job done. He’ll have made it clear to Levy what’s needed to take the club forward.

If Levy listens to him, I’ll be both surprised and elated.

Free agents

Edison Cavani
Mario Mandzukic
Mario Goetze
Alexandre Pato

Surely worth a punt for Spurs ? Levy is a cheapskate after all.

Yeah man! First final I’d been to in the flesh. What a day that was.

Pochettino turned down a bunch of players, by all accounts.
You'd expect Mourinho to want us to sign a lot of his targets, but it seems that we're actually doing that at the moment.

I don't think that we'll have a balanced squad by the end of the window, but that remains to be seen.
We should have a second striker by the time the season kicks off though, which isn't going to happen.

I thought Poch was bemoaning the fact that Levy wouldn't put his hand in his pocket.

Which players did he veto ?

Cavani's going to Benfica, apparently.
Mandzukic would do a job, but we've reached the limits on foreign players until we get shot of any.
Goetze's a wreck, unfortunately. Physically can't handle the Bundesliga, so he'd be ****ed in the Prem.
Pato flopped at Chelsea. Doubt he'd fancy another shot in England.

Yeah I forgot about Pato at Chelsea.

Still, they have a reputation for ruining strikers.
