So funny BT were so busy telling us how City would love playing against Bayerns high line in the semi-final forgetting that they had to beat Lyon first:emoticon-0140-rofl:

They weren't the only ones. The pundits had written off Lyon from the moment the tie was drawn, as if they didn't need to bother to turn up.

Oh my goodness this is so funny, I am so happy. Though I am of course surprised this could happen to the best manager in football (TM).

Doubly happy because the script was already written for Citeh to win the competition in the year they were going to be banned. Even though they weren't really innocent were they (not that you would know that from the reporting).

Triply happy because the pundits were shown up again.

Fourthly happy because with the money spent, this season has got to be considered a massive failure. I wonder how many will call them out as such?

A very similar miss to Raheeeeeeeeeeem's.
The real ****er of it? It's the same goal.

The Estadio Jose Alvalade is Sporting's ground, which hosted City v Lyon.
That miss ended up being the difference between them and Benfica, who won the match 1-0 and nicked the title by two points.
Ederson was in goal.

City just aren't the same side without Aguero.
Leaving out the Silvas, playing two right-backs and picking Fernandinho, Gundogan and Rodri together was just odd.
Maybe it's time for Guardiola to piss off back to Barca? Might suit them both.

And risk failure when the scale of the necessary rebuild consumes him?

He's more likely eying up the PSG job...
