Arsenal failed to have a shot on target against a side that Son scored twice against with a broken arm.

I think this is what really bothers me the most - we didn't test Reina at all.

I get if there's a cup semi-final hangover and we've no doubt had to give a lot the last two games. But the players we had were good enough to at least test Villa's defence. Yet we gave them the most comfortable night they'll ever have <doh>.

That being said, I think we've seen now Arsenal aren't capable of breaking down defences that are well organised and have a good shape. Any team that defends with a low bloc can beat us because we have no creativity in the middle. And with our fullbacks/wingbacks pushing up so high, there is plenty of space to be exploited if you can counter-attack. It amazed me how many times Villa did the same thing and we did absolutely nothing to try and stop it.

Too many players with lazy defending, mistimed challenges, awful passing and minimal effort.

This should be a reality dose for people who thought a change of manager was all we needed to transform our fortunes.

So Spursy.....................
Beat 'Pool and City and lose to Villa

I think right now, Arsenal fans need to accept that we don't have the players to play the football we want. We are a pragmatic counter-attacking side and that style suits us better. Which is why we got the results against Liverpool & City, but struggled tonight. When we have to take the initiative and dominate the ball, we won't get many good results.

Ozil is clearly not part of our plans in the future or present, so getting a creative-minded player is paramount.

Dear SD
Please PM me your address so I can come round and slap you every time I say a word containing the letter P as I recite "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper" in it's entirety
Your sincerely

PS <grr>

When I was young I learned a bunch of tongue twisters and can still say them very fast and clearly. I thought at the time it would impress girls. It didn't. I also know Jabberwocky off by heart. That didn't work either. Guess I never did and never will understand women.
