Werner makes them much stronger though. Chelsea have needed a top forward since Costa.
The on thing to cling onto is that Chelsea usually play best when they have a battering ram such as Drogba or Costa up front and Werner simply isn't that, which is why the German team tends to play him on the flank rather than through the middle - as best evidenced at the last World Cup, where he played through the middle in every game and was completely anonymous

Now if they replace Giroud with a younger model, that would be potentially terrifying...

I remember watching Luiz many times when he was at PSG. Don't remember him having a bad game.Always calm as a sweeper and used the ball intelligently. Maybe it was too easy playing for PSG ???!........and he is too slow now for the PL?

Looking at the empty stadiums with piped crowd sounds......maybe this will be football in the 22nd century, with tv owning the grounds and teams,no crowds, fans having to pay exorbitant tv prices and sounds piped in to the tv via fans comments at home. Cursing not allowed,of course!!!!!

I dunno, Abraham isn't bad. A front line of Wener, Abraham, Ziyech would do some damage, you'd think. Pulisic in the mix too.

Chelsea already signed Ziyech and Werner and hoping to get Havertz and Chilwell

Seems Roman is determined to make them great again

If that was even slightly later in the game, then Armstrong would be in the book for that.
Just hauled his opponent down blatantly in a fairly dangerous area.
