It’s inconsistency between the leagues. I’d feel pretty hard done by if I was Norwich, went through the expense and difficulties of finishing the season and then another team who didn’t play out their competition got promoted despite not playing all their games.

Either the PL and Championship both finish the seasons or neither do, IMO. Given Leagues 1 & 2 look likely not to continue, it does seem that voiding the season would make more sense. There’ll be complaints no matter what happens but this seems fairest, given that even in the PL if you froze points now, not all the teams have played the same number of games.

Sure, the banter about denying Liverpool a title by voiding the season is funny, but there’s many more concerns with far greater ramifications around the varying ideas for continuing the games or finding another resolution (using PPG for example).

Clinging to the last few threads of hope the season is voided<doh> it won't be mate, let it sink in. The season will be completed by playing the remaining games or ppg, both end in us lifting the title.

I wouldn't be so sure.
Look at France.
Voiding the season is the only option which is legally bulletproof, save for completing it - which seems highly unlikely all things considered.

Earlier today ESPN posted an article saying "time is running out for the Premier League" it made a lot of good points.
