Athletes found guilty of doping are stripped of their medals, I think it is only fair that football clubs found guilty of financial doping are stripped of their titles also.

All I have heard from the media is how wonderful City are when probably the majority of football fans have little time for a club that has simply bought their position. A position that bears little resemblance to their fan base. City in the days of Joe mercer and Malcolm Allison were a team admired by many, now, I suspect most of us are happy to see them fall.

Perhaps the City of Manchester will move them out of Lancashire. Isle of Wight would be nice!

That is a throwback. He was often the butt of jokes on The Goodies. His family knew about the law though. His brother was Senior Partner of Nabarro Nathanson (as was).

My grandmother was his family's housekeeper in Willesden after leaving the pub trade. A number of them came to her funeral, although Gerald was long since dead by then.

He was accused of driving the wrong way round a roundabout, got off when he said one of his "secretaries " was driving as there were 2 in the car at the time he couldn't remember which one was driving. One of the girls became Christine Hamilton I seem to remember

Sir Gerald Nabarro Alfie, get it right. A proper politician, forget John 'two jags' Prescott, what about Sir Gerald 'seven rollers' Nabarro, each with the number plates NAB 1 to NAB 7.
Bullshit!

Ye see yon birkie ca’d a lord,
Wha struts, an’ stares, an’ a’ that,
Tho’ hundreds worship at his word,
He’s but a coof for a’ that.
For a’ that, an’ a’ that,
His ribband, star, an’ a’ that,
The man o’ independent mind,
He looks an’ laughs at a’ that.

"How would you feel if your daughter wanted to marry a big buck ****** with the prospect of coffee-coloured grandchildren?"
Yeah, maybe not, eh?

I have my own Gillingham related reasons that I dislike City with a passion.

The money has just made it 10 times worse, and the media love in with possibly the 'greatest cheque book' manager in history just adds further fuel to the fire.

I want all this ban stuff to be true, but I won't believe it until the draw is made without them.

You are missing my point, no one could agree with what the man stood for. The guy had a fleet of Rolls Royces all with personalised number plates, he was a proper politician, in it for what he could get out of it. Money, favour, knighthood etc. That's what politicians do.

Classic BBC MOTD on City.
Murphy saying it is wrong to ban them, because it will cause a domino effect. So he is basically saying that because other teams are doing it , it should be allowed..
Okay, there are thieves about , so we should all be allowed to steal and get away with it.
Should be a Premier League 15 point deduction as well, not that it would help us much, we would only be 1 point in front of them.

Taking points away from City wouldn't really do anything this season, unless it relegates them or they're reinstated into European competitions.

That's probably why the Premier League are thinking of doing it, as the combination of The Sheikh Mansour Team bottling it so badly this season coupled with their European ban mean their main two arguments for not having points deducted have been defanged

Only two clubs in the PL are Sugga Daddy FCs (and the financial
"doping that goes with it) .

As a Spurs supporter, my contempt for them is they effectively denied
us 4 seasons at the CL piggy trough between 2011-15 (and all the
consequences that had on keeping key players + the start date for
building new WHL) .

Doubt the punishment (if actually enforced) will cause them to go
a bit Blackburn/Leeds (if anything they will probably go Chelsky 2016-17
with no CL distractions) .
