Also not wanting to accept responsibility for what happened - which is a bit difficult when they club engaged with an agent banned from operating in the UK to sign a player, and seemed happy to let that same agent make insane suggestions like apparently asking the first bloke they could find at the local aerodrome fly him back in his tiny single prop on a stormy night rather than put their foot down and state the player they just agreed a £15m fee for would fly back to Nantes on a form of aviation that is a bit more advanced than what the Wright Brothers used
