Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is missing out on his top player targets because he is refusing to pay above-the-odds prices.

Funny how a decade of paying above-the-odds prices has conditioned clubs to expect to receive an above-the-odds offer when they come calling...

Losing 2-0 after being undone by a dodgy penalty.

What goes around comes around :)

Unfortunately it doesn't though. It's no wonder refs (consciously or subconsciously) give pens to or fail to give pens against Liverpool when they get so much discussion. It's much easier for them to avoid the issue and go with the flow. The reason last night (and the lack of penalty in their last match) got discussed so much is because it's them and it so exceptional for the decision to go against them. Other teams the matter is probably never mentioned. There would certainly not have been a discussion if Pool had been awarded a pen in exactly the same circumstances.

See Fabinho's dive in the 3-2 against Newcastle last season. Just lots of talk about how resilient they were to score late on.

Poor old Pep will probably have to spend another couple of hundred million on defenders in January now. You've got to feel for him.

Just saying At 60m you'd expect the ****er to be able to play upfront and in goal<laugh>
He could probably play as a winger, to be fair to him.
Walker's played centre-half for England, but he always makes one big mistake a game. Risky.
They've probably got a load of youth players that they've poached, so it can't be that bad.

I just wanna see pep under pressure for a few weeks, some bad results and no defenders might just give us some comedy gold in interviews, he already spazzed out after the Norwich game congratulating us on "winning the title in september" <rofl>

Love to see him fully crack tbh, I'm not sure the English press will be so respectful when his teams having a crisis<whistle>
