What a truly terrible post! To have that sort of hatred for other teams is bad enough but to wish their coach dead is beyond my comprehension. As for praying we don't win, that should carry a lifetime ban on supporting my lifelong club.
I'm sorry if my hatred of the mousers upsets you Maggie as you seem like a thoroughly decent person however as someone who grew up during the 70's and 80's and had to stomach the mouser love in and now 30 years later still having to sit there and listen to this **** from plastics and bias pundits alike is too much for me. However it's not just the media, the fans themselves are entitled ****ers and as for Klopp the guy is an obnoxious **** and the absolute opposite of Poch. I understand that you might not come into daily contact with mousers in the workplace as presumably you've retired now however I do and I can assure you that as someone who lives 10 miles north of Tottenham and working in a warehouse environment the thought of having to face these plastics on a daily basis made me say that. Banter is one thing but the **** I have to take from them goes way past that, having said that I was working tonight so obviously didn't get to see the game but when the 3rd goal went in I still felt that buzz as 48 years of following my boys means I can't help myself. Anyway apologies again and feel free to ignore me.

Well done Liverpool. It needs to be said. Clearly the better team on the day. <applause><applause><applause>

I hope that folks who claim that we have strength in depth are now looking at the Liverpool squad and realising the difference. This idea of not being able to get cover for Kane because, "He's so good!", needs to die a death. If we aren't buying someone, we need to be promoting someone.

Liverpool have an embarrassment of goal scoring options in forward positions, and even have CMs that score. It seems that this is what you need to best compete at high levels, on top of a solid defence.

If we manage to beat both Ajax and Liverpool in the CL, I'll be happy to eat these words, of course. Let's see….
Tables laid, candles lit: hows the hors d'oeuvres going down, LS?

As have Llorente and Moura.
Do you really think Origi, Sturridge and Shaquiri are lots better than Llorente, Moura and Lamela? Or that Lovren and Matip are better than Sanchez and Foyth? A game between our reserve teams would be hard to call. Just as a game between our first teams is. Man City have some non first choice players who might improve our first team but no-one else is really stronger in depth than we are.
I think Llorente and Moura highlighted your point Power <ok>

Well, I said earlier on in this thread that if we were to win it would be by lady luck and didn't it just turn out that way? They hit the post which was lucky for us then we score in the dying seconds 5 minutes into injury time. I begrudged Chelsea their luck because it never seems to run out but may ours continue.

We all said that Chelsea fluked their CL win, will it be the same for us if we win it? Have we been flukey too?

< God loves a trier >

If we get to the final, its anyones game. If we get there it means we have had alot of great moments to take heart from also. As a club we should be hungrier than Liverpool, we would definately be underdogs and i prefer that. They have only beaten us by the odd goal in both games this season. If we get there its game on.

Barca werent ready for the classic Premier League tempo...we are. My only concern is injuries.

First things first though...tommorow is massive for our club.

What on earth are you basing that on? We're desperate for a trophy. Absolutely gagging for one.Got to say I wasn't expecting that result last night, but well played and we meet again in Madrid <ok>

Well done Luke, I know for you Liverpool are your biggest rivals, so coming from you that is praise indeed.

I on the other hand have always had a soft spot for Liverpool because Shankley, Paisley and ***an is the proper way to manage a football team and they always understood the nature of football and it's importance to their fans. They came from the same place.
Anyone who was a round when the Munich disaster happened will know the impact that had. For me as a small boy the death of so many famous footballers changed my view of the world forever. United and Liverpool are two huge names in English football and for many they are English football.

I am proudest of Spurs of course for their contribution to exciting football and as the pioneers of what became total football and being the first English club to win European honours. Spurs come first for me, but respect for the opposition and their contribution to this amazing sport is part of the game as far as I am concerned. I am not at war here, this is the most exciting ball game in the world, it is there to be enjoyed.

Great post <ok>

You might try visiting the city to find out what we're really like. You might just be a little surprised. Don't remain a bigot all the rest of your life.

He's still top of the pile for Golden Boot <ok>
I'm not saying he's not a great player, just thinking of it from the perspective of Mane (in better form currently) and Firminho. Both have been outstanding and not sure why they are valued as half a Salah. Possibly on 10% less, but half?

You probably are...it must be those fans that are/were like...

‘I’d rather the league, we have won this one before’
‘Rather play Spurs than Ajax it will be the easier game’

Etc etc

Them type of comments suggested to me that some of your fans are not hungry...just entitled and arrogant.

However I am sure there are many like you too...can’t wait me...this is 50/50

Your league form does not matter

Some stattery for ya ...

It has taken Pochettino 3 consecutive seasons to reach a UEFA cup final,
while it took Wenger 9.

Computer says : Pochettino is a far better UEFA manager than Wenger. < FACT >

Can't think how the Goons would counter that.

If you asked pretty much any Red "if you can have only one of PL or CL which would it be" the answer would be PL until we (please God) finally manage it. Think you're slightly misreading this as trust me we are not so blase that we would turn our noses up at another CL trophy.:emoticon-0100-smile

Chavs new stadium is still miles off, this is from 'the New Civil Engineer:

The design team working on expansion plans for Chelsea Football Club’s Stamford Bridge stadium are attempting to revive the project by slashing costs by as much as £500M, New Civil Engineer can reveal.

Sources close to the project have confirmed that alternative sites are now being looked at, with club bosses believed to be open to the idea of a new location.

However, with planning permission already in place the preferred option is to remain at the current Stamford Bridge site.

Chelsea bosses paused expansion plans last May after the cost of the project soared to around £1bn. It is understood that the club wants the cost to be reduced by “around £500M”, before it gives the green light for the project to be restarted.

Expansion plans were paused 12 months ago, after the cost of the stadium spiralled to an estimated £1bn, having originally been tabled at £500M.

At the time, a spokesperson for Chelsea said the club’s proposed 60,000-seater stadium had been put on ice due to an “unfavourable investment climate”.

A spokesperson for the club confirmed that the stadium is still “completely on hold”, adding that “there has been no time frame set for a reconsideration of this position”.

Aecom is the strategic planner on the job, with WSP and Schlaich Bergermann acting as structural engineers. Herzog & de Meuron is the architect.

Shortly before the project was paused, VolkerFitzpatrick had been named as the preferred bidder for a £95M contract for piling and diversion works at the stadium.

Since then, Ineos owner and Britain’s richest man Jim Ratcliffe has repeatedly been linked with a £2bn takeover of the club.

However, New Civil Engineer understands that Chelsea bosses have held informal talks with stadium designers, suggesting that if the cost can be brought down then the project could be restarted under the current ownership.

Under the original plan, the existing 41,600-seater stadium in west London would be demolished to make way for the construction of the new 60,000 capacity football stadium and an ancillary stadium.

The 6.2ha site is bounded by London Underground’s District line to the north-west, and the Southern mainline railway to the east. Currently, these lines are in open air cuttings, but to increase the capacity of the stadium, decks would be built over the top of the lines to allow the footprint of the stadium to be increased.

Under the plans, the roof of the stadium would be supported by 264 radial steel roof trusses that will span 50m over the stadium bowl. The trusses are supported by a steel tension ring arrangement which is supported by the same number of vertical concrete columns around the stadium’s perimeter.

The main columns around the perimeter of the structure would then be clad in brick.

While revised designs are likely to be simplified, it is understood that any redesign will retain the rail overbuild as it is deemed integral to expansion.

Planning permission for the stadium was granted by London mayor Sadiq Khan and Hammersmith & Fulham Council in January 2017. Under the terms, enabling works must begin by January 2020 or the permission expires. The planning document also states that construction works must begin before January 2023.
