One big DEEP sigh of relief. 8 goal swing needed, interesting how that was how many goals were scored at Goodison and they're our last opponents. Right, we've made it so now let's relax and see some bright Spurs football on Wednesday.

The top four race continues in Chuckle Brothers mode to the end.
Spurs & Chelsea are the last two standing.
Frustrating really because Utd have thrown it away, been given 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th chances and thrown them all away.

Will take a supreme display of Spursy-ness next sunday not to finish top 4 now
(although it would be hilarious to finish ahead of the Goons by GD of +1 and
them not to win the EL final) .

Chelsky have to play Leicester, so the opportunity to reclaim 3rd is still there.

IMHO much of the above now depends on the manner of the performance
against Ajax (whatever the end result actually is) .

I posted earlier the thread that Arsenal's PL form hasn't been that good just recently and it showed again today, a point at home to Brighton through a dubious penalty.

....and Arsenal......and very nearly us.

I've never seen anything like it.

I think the 2 best teams made it in the end......just about........well, actually the 2 least worst. Drawing with Brighton and Huddersfield is inexcusable.

Really thought we'd ****ed it this time.

Despite the disappointment, surely a Europa League season is better for you? Gives the young players Ole wants to bring through a chance to get experience and it's not like you're ever short of money.

I don't know why I'm so angry that I've been let down by these players. It's not as if they haven't done it before.

Xhaka is the biggest waste of space we have ever spent money on and, today, his stupid challenge cost us the game. Cheers for that signing Wenger, you ****ing daft **** <doh>. I know I've joked about it on here, but he is such a detestable player. He has no right to be playing for any club that has ambitions of playing Champions League football.

So, Chelsea and Spurs more or less guaranteed CL football. Us and United out. That's what I predicted at the start of the season, but the reality of it all doesn't make me feel any better.

May as well play the kids at Burnley now. League campaign is over. It's all out for the Europa or bust.

I ****ing hate this game sometimes.
