Arsenal spent the money that needed spending on the defence on Aubamayang. It was a gamble on resurrecting a challenge for fourth that didn't pay off last season and hasn't done this. Good player...just the wrong player.

Adding Sokratis, Leno and Lichsteiner to the existing incapables has resolved nothing, Using up further wages to recruit a winger this January is going to resolve nothing.

Until they can defend, they're a cup team, at best.
