Anyone else watched the Sunderland doc on Netflix? It's pretty good and involves proper football, not some slave owners spending their fortune to win a trophy rather than feed their people.

Coleman comes across very well imo, really seems to give a **** and throw himself all into the club <ok>

Yes it’s a good watch. I thought it really gives an insight into the intangibles that can affect player performance - the atmosphere created in the dressing room by the staff and other players for example - and generally how the environment created at the club from the top to the bottom influences performance. Also the simple tactical oversights that take place when things are going wrong, like Aiden McGeady being asked to play wide left in a 4-3-3 but with no instruction on what to do out of possession. It was good to hear a lot from the fans, football is really a religion in the North East and it comes across accurately. And Coleman did come across better than I expected.

I won’t finish the City one. The other “All or Nothing” documentaries Amazon have done, on various NFL teams and the All Blacks, are good watches but I find the City one different. Maybe because it’s because I have no skin in the game when it comes to the other teams featured, but I just felt the tone in the City one pandered to the club more.

If it wasn’t for the fact that after last week I don’t give a feck if Burnley get stuffed, I would say that they are getting the wrong end of a load of decisions..... so many soft free kicks going the Goons way....

And to round it off Goons get an offside goal....... Alan Smith says ’it wasnt clear’ - nah - just a couple of feet <doh>
 
I'm not usually one to blame officials, but they were partly the reason why the game ended up being a scrap. A lot of fouls by Burnley players that either weren't punished or weren't given, but they were quick to give fouls against us.

Let's not forget when Burnley had 4 players offside from a free-kick, that wasn't flagged by the officials, and they almost scored. They got a corner from it.

Barnes, who got them back in the game, should not have been on the pitch to score the goal. Cork was lucky to not see red as well for persistent fouling.

Guendouzi and Elneny weren't positionally disciplined enough in midfield, which is also partly why Burnley were overrunning us in the middle.

The defence, generally, did ok considering the personnel problems we have at the moment.

The Iwobi goal which killed the game off was offside, but it was a tight decision. Very tight. The line clearly shows that. Sometimes you get them, other times you don't.

Soktatis was at least as bad as Barnes. I didn't know the Greeks played Rugby.

You can't have watched the game if that's the conclusion you've come to. Aside from hauling Barnes down on the half-way line, which he got booked for, he did nothing else wrong.
