So which bit is wrong, the bit where he says one team above us who have clearly been better prepared to be there over the last few years or, the bit where he says there is 1 team ahead of us and 18 behind us?

You do understand he is talking about present positions or did his accent make you think he meant we had been 2nd for the last few years even though he clearly stated United's previous finishes in his last interview
Your first big mistake was thinking that I could be arsed to LISTEN to him! <laugh>

"I know you are tired. I know you are psychologically and emotionally exhausted. But you have to smile and continue".

Alexis Sanchez, on Instagram, addressing himself in the second person and putting his **** form down to emotional exhaustion.....

"Nurse....nurse."

The bit where at the end of the 2015/16 season, both clubs finished equal on points. Both clubs have since appointed new managers and notched up a net spend of appx £350m. They are now separated by 16 points and a gulf in footballing quality. One has moved forward. The other has merely capitalised on the fact that Leicester were a one season wonder and we're not playing at WHL.

Reading have appointed Paul Clement as their new manager, replacing Jaap Stam who left two days ago by mutual consent.
He worked under their new chief executive Ron Gourlay at Chelsea, which may explain why he's been hired. Uninspiring.

Looking through the football results today I notice that Sutton have gone top of their league and wonder if those older fans ever thought they could be playing in the Football League?
.....and whether those old Orient fans would have thought that one day the O's would be out of the Football League? Velly interlesting Holmes!!!!!!

Sutton have been up there for most of the season. Their problem is that they will be denied promotion to the FL unless they rip up their plastic pitch.

The Gods giveth and the Gods take it away. But what's fair in this day and age. Couldn't Sutton borrow a pitch until they grass theirs? ...maybe even play at Wembley......?

The pitch cost about £500,000 a few years ago, a huge investment for a club of Sutton's size. They hire it out a lot and save costs on the upkeeo. Asking them to tear it up and start again with grass is just the league being backward looking dinosaurs as usual.
The irony is that, by demanding a level playing field, the playing field is anything but level for so many clubs.

Perhaps a club like Spurs could lend them the money and blood their youngsters at Sutton in exchange......

Cedric Soares has been doing his bit for squad harmony by saying this in an interview with A Bola

“I’m a loyal player. I want a dream team, but if it’s not a dream I don’t know if I’ll consider the Southampton exit.”

I wonder who might be in the market for a right back this summer...

Staying on the subject of non league football, I noticed that Gary Nevilles' Salford were trailing 4-0 on Saturday with 9 minutes left. The final score was 4-4 !!
Now that is some comeback.

I haven't watched it yet, but there are actually full highlights on Youtube:

When did that start happening? Makes sense though, I guess.
Edit: Just started watching it and the first goalscorer's one of our academy products. Emmanuel Sonupe.
Edit 2: That's some proper Man Utd bullshit! <laugh> Red card not given, penalty not given and Fergie Time.
