£ity played straight into Pool`s hands with the way they play, Spendiola was always going to have a bad day eventually and their errors gifted Pool 4 goals today. Of course there will now be a media **** fest on the back of a Pool victory, but this result was more to do with $ity`s errors than Pool`s devastating attacking play. A draw would have been a fair result, I also hope Poch was watching this game and witnessed how not to set a team up at Klanfield.

Of course he was,

Just as he did when Citeh played Celtic in the CL,
and the Chelsky 4-2 against Stoke last season.

I expect similar dealing with both of them in the
return games, assuming his full strength starting XI
is available to him.

Credit where it's due Billy. For 84 minutes Pool were superb. Goals arising from individual errors can often mask that but hats off to them they've done the entire league and the world's stock of kleenex a tremendous favour this evening and fully deserved it.

Yeah because Liverpool's high fast pressing had nothing to do with forcing City into errors.

The better team won today but have a pint of <ale> on me <ok>

You played exactly as I wanted us to play at the Etihad but we had Wanyama and Alderweireld injured and a half-fit Dembele so City just ignored the flanks and bypassed the central areas with ease.

The rematch at Wembley should be more even as we should be back to full strength by then.

They'll still win the PL at a canter though as very, very few teams are good enough to score the 3 or 4 goals it seems are needed to beat them.

This is the beauty of football.
Once upon a time, it took a European Cup win to make them smile.
Now it's winning one game by scoring a few goals but defending badly.
When you find your level, football can give you great highs.
