I also said it was good to come back from behind against Dortmund. I said keep the faith because the form will return and we will be back to winning ways.

Spurf:- EDIT
Cut the jibes DGC I have edited this post.

This is now an official warning, move on please.

The provocation came from The Changing Man's post.
No the provocation came from your posts this is the ongoing effect I am trying to stop.
It should be perfectly clear to you that your posts have annoyed a number of posters, disagreement is fine but you need to bear in mind the responses of your fellow posters. If you just move on we can all forget about it. Thankyou.

Rubbish. I started this morning with a post about Rose going to Utd, yesterday was forgotten.

There are a lot of Arsenal fans bleating on social media about "deserving" to win the game v Utd, being "the better team", "creating enough chances to win three games" etc etc. Unfair to lose 1-3 apparently. They were robbed; a tragedy.
They overlook the basic principle in football that the team who put the ball in the net more times than the other team wins.
It's not figure skating - nobody holds up cards at the end rating the performance. If they did, then conceding two goals very easily in the first few minutes would drastically reduce the score - as it would do if Torvill and Dean fell on their arses twice at the start of their routine.
And a goalkeeper doing his job exceptionally well scores more highly than forwards who don't do theirs<doh>
David De Gea deserved to win that. I'm not sure that anyone else on either side did! <laugh>
Arsenal played the ball around in front of Man Utd, for the most part, who tried to sit on a two goal lead but could've hit back on the break.
Anyone looking at the stats, scoreline or even highlights probably won't have a great handle on the match. It was quite an odd one.

Borussia Dortmund drew again yesterday, despite playing the whole second half against ten men.
That's now ten games since the Mackem that I know went to see them and they've not won one of them! <laugh>
Unbelievable for a side with so many talented players.

There seems to be at least one club per season you can say that about in the Bundesliga. Last season both Schalke and Leverkusen were different shades of dire, a couple of seasons before that Dortmund limped into the Europa League on the last day, while Werder Bremen veer from being good to utter dreck so often you'd like they were Everton in disguise
