Unless the ball goes in the net within a couple of seconds, what is the advantage in not being awarded a penalty Mr Madley?
It'll still be a sellout though, so they won't care.Thousands of empty seats at Arsenal...maybe owners will start realising they need to.lowet ticket prices. Looks piss poor on tv and you can literally hear a pin drop.
Ref denies WBA a stonewall penalty to play advantage.
Ref gives arsenal a stonewall free kick on edge of penalty box even though arsenal had advantage.
The inconsistency from refs within a match is mind boggling.

A Pullis team appears to be playing football. Should have had a penalty but good to see a player getting up and trying to play the game.
I agree and it's outrageous that players have to 'act' to get the proper decision from the ref. We should be encouraging the kind of play Rodriquez (sp) displayed which is in the best traditions of the game. The penalty should have been awarded and the fact the player got up should be rewarded not penalised.Although that level of incompetent officiating shows why most players don't bother. Madley's a terrible ref. It gave him an excuse to bottle giving a penalty to the away team.
And it gets worse as an iffy penalty is awarded to Arsenal. This game has been decided by the ref. Very poor.

The authorities continue to bury their heads in the sand. Refs do decide games, it does not "even out over the course of a season". Unbelievable that the outcome of such a valuable commodity is decided subjectively.
