...if we play like we know we can, we...

That's the nail, hammer, and head, my friend.

I remember saying exactly the same thing when we used to have Hoddle, Waddle and Gazza in the side.

It used to annoy me when people spoke of "playing the Spurs way!" It was a backhanded compliment, as far as I was concerned, with punters seeing us as the entertaining jokers of the league, never true contenders. The likes of 'Pool and United never took the chances that we used to take, and therefore had greater consistency.

What Poch has managed to do - and I never thought I'd see this with a Spurs side - is to instil incredible discipline into the team, as well as tremendous amounts of fitness. Sure, we don't always turn on the style, but he's ingrained a level of consistency into the side that I have never seen. I'd sacrifice a bit of flair for a large dose of consistency.

Okay, I don't want us to lose too much flair, but I am loving the consistency.

I agree and it's great that we very rarely get soundly beaten. I think last season and this the only game we've lost by more than 1 goal was the Newcastle away game. Our 2 losses this season, 1 match we dominated the first half and the other could have gone either way really.
Anyway watch us go and get spanked today now!

Palace conspiring to keep Leicester out of the relegation zone for another week.

Amazingly this match hasn't played hell with my fantasy team, even though I have defenders from both sides in my starting xi

You could argue that all of the bottom four are in better form than Leicester and perhaps Bournemouth. This relegation battle isn't sewn up by any means.

Everton now 4-2 up...Bournemouth have been in free fall since blowing the 3 nil lead a few weeks back...

Hull hotspurs 2 lpool 0

Liverpool going 2-0 down to an on loan Everton striker.
That's a real pain in Niasse. <whistle>

Hull don't have their two centre halves playing - only just realised Dawson was injured in the warm up. This is poor from Pool and a brilliant result for Hull. Amazing if they manage to stay up.

Huddlestone's currently playing as a sweeper in a back five. Obviously...

Two massive results have gone our way.

The lads need to be focussed and we need to capitalise to make that 4th spot that little bit securer.

COYS!
