Just to point out that as followers of Daniel Levy, we of the Spurs board impose a hefty tariff on fans of other teams who use our threads as a platform to have their own personal tiff.

Seasonal discounts taken into account, the going rate is £25 per post plus an additional surcharge of £3.99 per media file uploaded.

Please make all cheques payable to 'The M Dawson Testimonial Foundation'.

As you were gents.

I always consider the prices to be fair (not hefty) , and proportionate (to the degree of delusion) .

Leicester's appeal against Vardy's red card has been rejected. Anyone surprised? No, me neither.

What happened to the old policy of adding a game on for a frivolous appeal?
I assume that they didn't find it to be frivolous.
It's normally for either trying to game the system or making a really dumb appeal.

The first is things like stonewall reds that you know aren't going to work, but the appeal moves the ban back a bit.
Useful to have someone available for a big game, allowing them to miss less important ones.

The second is something like Sunderland's appeal against Michael Turner's ban in 2009.
They felt that he shouldn't have been sent off, but they appealed against the length of the ban.
A 3 game ban is standard for violent conduct, so it was rejected and deemed frivolous, as they had no reason to appeal that.
Had they appealed the red itself, then it might've been overturned and he'd have got no ban at all.

But Chelski appealed against a stonewall red when whatsisname pushed over someone and got it reduced from 3 to 2 matches!

I agree there should be more consistency from the FA on things like this.
"Chelski" s red card shouldnt have been reduced.
Vardy shouldnt have had a red in the first place, it was pathetic.
Tackling is part of football, decking someone isn't.

Matic? He reacted to a bad tackle from Ashley Barnes. Surely not? Those don't happen.
That appeal didn't make any sense. Totally inconsistent.
I think that they took Barnes' foul into consideration, despite denying it. There's no other rational explanation, is there?

Bayern well on top in the battle at the top of the Bundesliga.
Both teams came into the game on 36 points, but they're making Leipzig look very poor, so far.
2-0 already and they're putting on a really effective display.

Edit: And now Forsberg's been sent off for a shocking foul on Lahm.
Breaking away and he's studded him badly. Rash and stupid.
