Mata is a genius. I haven't taken much notice of Chelsea's team selections lately, is he still getting benched or has Jose reinstated him?

Mata is the best player in England alongside Suarez in my opinion.

Fair enough. What I saw, in the first half, was De Bruyne running at the Arsenal defence causing problems, Willian did a lot of tracking back, as you say, but in his primary role - offensive - he didn't carry the threat De Bruyne did. In the second half, Mata was the best player on the pitch by a distance. Wilshere had his moments, but Arsenal were not really in it.

He's in the first team now but didn't play against City as they have a more physical midfield in Yaya Toure and Fernandinho. Arsenal's midfield isn't as physical and he has a better record against them so it made more sense.

No idea who will play against Newcastle though

Then why has he played in 6 out of the last 8 games?

Hazard has played 6 out of the last 8 and so has Oscar.

Who was in place of him at City? Oscar, Willian and Hazard are hardly powerhouses <laugh>

Fair play though, it was only a Mata :)D) of time before Jose realised the player he possessed.

    I'll grab my coat.

It was Shirley (as Beckenbauer pronounced it) not Willian, but your point is correct.

ok, fair enough. I must have only noticed the 2 he didn't play. It seems to me that Hazard and Oscar are 1st choice and Mata, Schurrle and Willian are fighting for one place in the very big games. I'm sure they'll all play, but who is first choice when push comes to shove?

Frimpong doing his bit for squad harmony by saying he doesn't get picked because he's black.

Bacary Sagna is a first team regular, isn't he?

    Has he really said that?

Arsenal's best ever player - Thierry Henry - Black.

Sagna, Gibbs, Walcott, Oxo-cube, Gnabry - Black or mixed-race.

Frimpong, the reason you don't get selected is because you're ****ing ****. He should be lucky them lot have kept him in employment this long, would struggle in a league 1 side. He's more worried about promoting his Dench bollocks than he is being a footballer. Which is why he's always BEEEEEEEEENCHED!

Emmanuel Frimpong sparks Arsenal Twitter row saying he would have more chances if he was 'white and English'

Emmanuel Frimpong says he was joking when he implied the reason he isn't in the Arsenal squad for Capital One Cup clash against Chelsea is because of his race

Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has sparked a race row at the Emirates after implying that he would have more first-team opportunities if he was "white and English".

Ahead of Tuesday night's Capital One Cup clash against Chelsea, Frimpong was asked on Twitter why he isn't in the side.

And the Ghana star replied: "LOL I wanna laugh". Before adding: "Sometimes I wish I was white and English #realtalk".

Frimpong has 683,000 followers and the comment caused such an immediate stir it was quickly deleted, with a swift follow-up tweet saying: "Not every tweet is football related".

Later the 21-year-old added: "Look what ever you read tomorrow has majorly been twisted. Is a joke what people will do to start controversy goodnight people".

In fact, Frimpong's omission had been raised earlier in the day, with Gunners manager Arsene Wenger telling the club's official website that the player was not in the squad because "he is still short of competition".

However, it is not the first time Frimpong has caused controversy on Twitter.

He was previously charged with improper conduct and fined £6,000 by the FA after a comment aimed at a Tottenham fan in 2012, who he branded "scum y**".

This is from the mind that came up with "soft for the ladies, hard for the men" on TV and didn't understand why people started laughing. Even for a footballer he's dumb.

I think he was trying to explain how he's nice to women but acts tough around men. Not sure why though :D

De Bruyne was our worst player. No wonder you support Spurs, you know zero about what's good or bad.

What a back-pedalling liar, thats the worst U-turn I've heard...since Wilshere holding a *** in his mouth as a joke!

"Not every tweet is football related".

Is that right Mr. Pingpong, the question clearly was football related, "why aren't you in the side". Do you always answer questions with non-related answers...is this why you're so misunderstood....prick! <doh> I must remember not to ask you "what time is it?"

As I said, I wasn't giving it my full attention, but De Bruyne looked better to me. Did Willian carry any threat at all, if he did I must have blinked and missed it. De Bruyne was ok first half and disappeared second half till he went off. Without Mata it would have been an even game.
