Galatasaray score twice in quick succession to make it 3-1 on the night. They need two more, but Real are wobbling.
Modric tried to be 'friends' with Ronaldo at the end, and Ronaldo completely ignored him. Modric looked as if he was going to burst into tears !!!
Amazing. That'll teach me!I'm watching the Dortmund game with a few minutes to go and NATURALLY decide the Germans were out so switched over.Later,I look at the results and find Dortmund had won so I had to watch the repeat to see what had happened.Well, an offside goal won it of course.....which only shows you can't take things for granted. I also thought that we were lucky to get by in the last round, playing badly,by the away goal. Well, blow me down if Real Madrid didn't get by the same way.........maybe theres some hope for us yet......!
My "relief" from Spurs problem's last night Was Following Sutton United's game at Maidenhead, which Sutton won 1-0,to move up to 9th in the table, and still with an outside chance of reaching the play-off's for the 2nd sucessive year
Yeah there were about 6 of them offside when the ball went in but the 'keeper bit wasn't as offside as they made out though, the 'keeper was diving back and so offside would have been from the tip of his glove, and the lino wouldn't have known precisely when the ball was struck and a fraction of a second later the scorer was onside. Plus Malaga's second was offside too
Considering how scrappy BD's last two goals were, I was amazed at the absence of Malaga defenders in the 6yd box, it just seemed to be a sea of yellow shirts queuing up, all watched by Malaga defenders rooted to their spots 5yds away??
Maybe it finally dawned on Malaga's player that, even if they won the CL, they're still banned from all European competitions next season so why bust a gut?
If you look at a replay for Reus's goal, i think their big CB misses a header, then you see 2 others just standing and watching, one with hands on hips!...was there any big far east bets on this game?
How does DL maintain that PL should have an inferiority complex, having watched the likes of Galatasaray and Malaga? I haven't seen a frightening side in the CL yet- not even Barca, who have looked quite vulnerable at times
Yes,looks like an open CL this year.City and United must be kicking themselves........although....hasn't B.Munich only had one dodgy game...against you know who?
Barca scrape through and Bayern stroll it. I wonder how the draw will go? Malaga's chairman has claimed that they were eliminated because of racism.
Who's to say the best 4 in Europe will be contesting the semis? I'd love to see Real v Barca and Bayern v Dortmund........
