A draw from one of the last two games and Spurs are safe.

Wouldn’t it be lovely for the players to win at Stamford Bridge so we don’t have to worry at all on the last day

The players more than owe it to the fans to get it wrapped up on Tuesday night and give them a home game they can actually watch and enjoy instead of being nervous wrecks.

It's interesting reading Kieran Maguire's analysis of what relegation would cost West Ham (£100m). Stands in stark contrast to how much it would cost us (£270m) and only serves to underline the sheer difference in size and commercial reach between the two clubs.

Yeah Spurs should never have been in this position.

Big lessons have to be learnt (if they survive) so it doesn’t happen again. My fear is the board will blame it all on injuries and not realise the scale of rebuild that is needed with this squad. Plenty need sold and lots of good incomings need to happen too otherwise it could be a 3rd season on the bounce at the wrong end of the table

Notwithstanding the inept running of our club over many years, but particularly the last decade, there's a huge difference in the financial obligations of both clubs.
Being 'gifted' the use of a massive Central London stadium, almost without caveat, probably the largest of those.

On the subject of commercial reach though, I'll be interested to know what the loss in revenue will have been from the departure of Sonny. I have a feeling that the loss of those marketing and image-rights related incomes within the Korean diaspora alone will create a serious dent in finances.

There's also the minor detail that London itself would be worse off if the Scammers drop: their rent would drop from £4.4m a year in the PL to £1.9m a year in the Championship, while policing costs would increase as instead of policing 19 home league games instead it would be 23

Luckily our media didn't do something stupid like midwife the sociopathic ****wit who agreed that deal into Downing Street...
