Our fixture at Villa Park has been moved to Sunday 3rd May at 7pm, due to Villa progressing in the EL.

Which is on the balance of it good news for us as they now have two tricky away games back to back before playing us.

Three wins out of Brighton, Wolves, Villa and Leeds will do it. I am NOT going to Stamford Bridge with the possibility on the cards that those little ****s could relegate us.

Can't see how we get those three wins, but there you have it. I'm building up my hopes again.

Come on CK, we all know this rotten season ends with relegation confirmed at Stamford Bridge on the same weekend Arsenal become champions.

Don’t let the hope sneak in

Forest with another two fixtures minimum to navigate this season.

Sunderland away
Villa at home
Chelsea away
Villa away

In the space of less than two weeks.

That's when we need to pin them back.
With Newcastle home, United away, and Bournemouth at home, too.
Their EL run + the tricky teams they still have to play may end up being the thing that saves us.

Villa and Chelsea are write off’s. If we can do what we managed against Liverpool and somehow pick up 1 point of out of those 6 available, I’d take that at this point.

Brighton tomorrow is a must win.
Wolves away is a must win, and builds some momentum
Then we need to hope that Leeds are safe by 11th May so we can beat them.
Then a point against Everton hopefully on the final day.
39-40 points. Hopefully enough.

But the small caveat is that we haven’t won this year. So the above is wildly unrealistic based on from, and everything that could possibly be “Spursy” will likely happen, such as Chelsea relegating us, as you say. And Arsenal losing to West Ham on purpose. And Chelsea rolling over for Forest.
We’re ****ed. <laugh>

I’d add that Everton may well have a chance of a European place right up to the final day.

Tsk tsk you really need to reset. Start thinking Miiiiiiiiiiiiilwall and Charlton as rivals.

It was only when I realised fans of clubs like Huddersfield and Wednesday saw themselves as our rivals that it hit home how fa r we had fallen.

Caicedo extended his contract to 2033. So it's now a seven year contract. I believe that they can't now spread costs over more than five years, so not clear the purpose. However we can be sure there is some devious financial benefit from doing so. Luckily for the authorities they have Chelsea. Because Chelsea find the loopholes for them, so they know what to outlaw a couple of years later. I've probably never mentioned how much I hate Chelsea. Well not for a couple of months anyway.

Oliver Glasner gave permission for his Crystal Palace squad to enjoy themselves out in Florence last night, after the Eagles secured a place in the club's first ever European semi-final

The celebrations took place just three days before Palace are set to face 17th placed West Ham in the Premier League.

While the West Ham clash is of less consequence for Glasner and Palace, who are now 12 points clear of the relegation zone, it's of vital importance to Tottenham Hotspur, who need the Irons to drop points if they themselves are to escape the threat of demotion to the Championship.

Coventry are promoted back to the Prem

Only took them 25 years and they went down to the fourth tier.

Hopefully doesn’t take Spurs as long to return :bandit:

Strange but true:

Our 3-0 victory over Coventry in March 2001 (the last season they were in the PL) was the first home game watched by new chairman Daniel Levy.

I sense something of a poetic irony brewing...

Up the clarets! Will be great if they hold on but would be another ‘what if’ with regards to if we’d held on yesterday.
