The one Ithing I did enjoy about the game last night is the song the Arsenal fans sing. The lyrics are magnificent. I hadn't heard it before.

I know that this is a British forum, but you could offer some indication of sarcasm for this one.
It's like MK Dons singing about being Milton Keynes Forever. ****ing Woolwich franchise ****s.

Not talking about the Gooners adopting it, just about the song. The song is not about Arsenal, it's about North London. We could adopt it quite easily. Maybe should have put it in Music thread.

Ironic that the chorus is the only part of this that is factually incorrect.

Honestly though, as a born and bred Londoner whose grandparents lived for many years in Stoke Newington/Manor House, the song resonated. And brought back some very early childhood memories.

They literally have a huge poxy banner saying it hanging off the side of their stadium

The overcompensation is off the charts

It’s for a different time period anyway isn’t it?
They had to pay a £3m Football League fine in 2018 because of their breaking spending rules getting promoted in the 2013-14 season

Seems to be a recurring issue for clubs in that neck of the woods, given Villa and Wolves are equally guilty of treating spending rules as guidelines at best
