Agree with this, except to say that many of that team are blooming into the new world stars, especially the players out wide. Technically astounding and the goals were even better than Declan Rice's. And they were tremendous.
They also played football with freedom and don’t look as robotic as most other teams. Although their owners are an oil state, it’s getting hard not to root for them to win it.
Says a lot that they may have lost the superstars, but look a much better team without them Yes, I am aware that's verging on "Pope: Catholic" when discussing Neymar...
Matic said Onana was one of the worst keepers in Utd's history and Onana was like "only one of? I've got work to do!". Mind boggling how bad that guy is, dread to think how many points/ games he's cost Utd in these almost two years.
Onana's rightly getting a lot of ****, but his opposite number, Lucas Perri, was equally ****. The first Utd goal was from his unnecessary punch and the 2nd was straight at him. Very theatrical dives too when simplicity would've been better. No wonder Palace ****ed him off. You'd have to question Lyon's finishing, too. Plenty of good chances.
Onana is terrible. The lyon keeper definitely to blame for first but i wouldn't say the 2nd one was easy. Yea its straight at him but from 6 yards out and above headheight with a bit of power i think it's a bit 50/50 on whether a keeper saves those. Seen loads of them type goals in the past.
He’s probably being paid a king’s ransom, but it will still have saved Liverpool an enormous amount of money (although how would they replace him?); should be followed by van Dijk. He needs 77 goals to overtake Shearer’s PL record. I wouldn’t put it past him on current form if he stays fit. And looking at the condition he’s in, he could extend that contract for another two years if he wants to.
Salah's been doing incredible numbers, but his form's dropped off horribly recently. The contract **** could've been effecting him negatively, though. Van Dickhead should've spent half of the season banned. He gets away with someone every couple of games.
Semi-automated offside is coming in this weekend: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/czrvvvpldeyo Why am I not surprised at the image used? Leaving aside the teams, the **** can't be offside because he's in his own ****ing half.
So the Chavs made a £1bn loss over the past two years even after their blatant PSR fiddling And the rest of the article is behind the Times' paywall, of course...
