West Ham have sacked Lopetegui. Not really a surprise after their poor run. Interestingly they’re only a point behind Spurs and have actually lost less league games. That’s both teams directly below Spurs which have sacked their managers.
Getting Potter by the sounds of things too. Think he could be good for the likes of Bowen, Kudos, Paqueta etc, they’re his types of players in my opinion.
Big step down for Potter, it has to be said Wasn't he on the shortlist for the Ajax job a few months back?
Have to wonder if somebody suggested he sit tight as the England job would be available soon, only for The FA to go for Tuchel and leave him in limbo
Good for the players but an odd club for him. It's as toxic as hell...but there again he went to Chelsea so must be some sort of masochist!
Sounds like Dyche has been sacked. Not really sure what their board expects with the dross they have there.
Absolutely. Definitely worth putting a bet on them to get relegated. Their next appointment will have to perform miracles to do better than Dyche.
Muggy departure announcement too: “Everton Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as Senior Men’s First Team Manager with immediate effect.” Not even a “we thank Sean for his efforts…” Me thinks something happened behind the scenes. There’s funny rumour on Twitter about DCL moaning about heading away too many balls during set price defending training but either way it feels like an abrupt decision.
His days were numbered as soon as they got new owners. It'll be interesting to see who replaces him. They've got a game in about an hour and a half.
Moyes looks a certainty to me he would love to there as the manager that takes them into the new stadium a returning hero, but should you ever go back?
Looks like he's the favourite, having said just two days ago that he doesn't want his next job to be a relegation battle. Strange club.
He went back to West Ham and won a European trophy. I think he'd like to keep Everton up and start a Premier League campaign at their new stadium.
