Yes and no: we signed Bergwijn in the January 2020 window, but he was leftover business from the previous summer
Should be fun seeing them play holding umbrellas!!! Can't imagine she'd risk making the same mistake twice!
Bit disappointed Gary O’Neil hasn’t been sacked yet, last night’s El Sackico hasn’t lived up to its name.
Her CV is a ridiculous list of falling upwards: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nerissa_Chesterfield Hopefully she'll turn them into another shocking ****show.
I'd love to know what that poor **** has done to upset the refs and their mates. Every other Wolves game seems to be a bunch of crap VAR reviews and missed penalties. It's ridiculous.
I do question how good the French league actually is. Putting aside the fact Lacazette looks world-class back at Lyon, and couldn't hit a barn door for us, we've played the top two teams in France (PSG & Monaco) this campaign. We've beaten both of them pretty comprehensively without conceding a goal. Even today, 3-0 flatters Monaco based on the quality of chances we had. There's undoubtedly talented, young players at some French clubs. But overall, it just doesn't seem to be a particularly strong league.
Monaco are a bit of an outlier for Ligue 1, as one season they can be challenging for the title and the next would be lucky to qualify for the Europa League This tends to go hand-in-hand with being unable to keep their squad together two seasons in a row, partly due to their track record of players who get noticed across Europe - but also in no small part because they need an Mbappe, Tchouameni, Bernard Silva, Fabinho, Thomas Lemar or Bakayoko transfer windfall on a regular basis because that's the only way they can comply with Ligue 1's FFP
