Chelsea only feel at ease when they are in the same division as Millwall. This is the real battle they need to be fighting (literally). The Sugar Daddy passport to silverware has never sat comfortably - and doesn’t represent what they are really about.
You’re saying Man Utd are in the title race? That’s a bit of a reach. Realistically it’s out of the top 3.
Only for the title of most dysfunctional, underperforming team. Although realistically Chelsea have that one sewn up
I'd rather watch mud dry than watch Arsenal and Liverpool and wanted them both to lose but in the end it was a hilairious result as far as Klip Klopp was concerned.But....how on earth did we concede, what? 4 goals home to Chelsea? AND......can our manager stop our defence conceding 90plus minute goals this season and the next.Answers on a post card please!
The second one's easy: either have Vicario clatter the guy backing into him before the corner is taken (which somehow isn't against the rules) or we have somebody whose role at corners is to screen Vic so nobody can back into him without it being so obvious what they;re doing even a Premier League referee could (potentially...) spot it
If rumours are to be believed, sacking the coach, and his staff, won't make a great deal of difference to their plight. They're so ****ed when Lukaku and Kepa come back that they're going to have to try and shift a lot of players, when the market is on its knees...whilst those players are on sky high wages.
Although I think they'll struggle to shift a lot of their dead-weight for reasons you've already established, the one thing they do excel at is selling their academy players. It'll account as pure profit within FFP and P&S regulations. So the likes of Broja, Maatsen, Gallagher, Chalobah and Hall (whom all have interest from other clubs) will leave for sizeable fees that, when accumulated, may give them a bit more wiggle room. That will be their only saving grace.
Only if other clubs are willing to play ball It wouldn't surprise me if clubs started playing Transfer Chicken with them to see if they blink first, and that may have already started with us not coughing up the £60m+ they were expecting for Gallagher
FFP dude on radio the other day was saying it's guaranteed that Chelsea will fail FFP unless they sell Gallagher by 30th June. And with the Euros starting on 14th June, that only really gives Chelsea a very short window at the end of season to sell him. So they need to find a club willing to shell out on him that quickly. But surely any club will know that they've got buyers' strength and that Chelsea will be desperate. Why would any club buy him in that short window to help out Chelsea? Chelsea will have to let him go quite cheaply. But then it might be so cheap that it might not solve their balance book for P&L. Surely all prem clubs should unofficially agree to let Gallagher stay there until after the Euro's so we can all point at laugh at them?
