Arbroath were 2-0 down to league leaders Raith Rovers and started the match with 4 on the bench.
They had to sub on their reserve keeper up front due to an injury and he did this:

Unbelievable, Jeff! They went on to draw 2-2.
Jimmy Glass understandably irked

I’m not denying Liverpool deserved their win, and they’ve totally battered Newcastle all game, but there’s no way that 2nd penalty should have been given. There’s barely any contact on Jota and look at how delayed his reaction is. Criminal that VAR agreed with the on-field decision to award that. More horrific officiating.

I'd have liked to have seen the initial offside decision, too. No chance to assess it live.
If we got penalty decisions like that, then let's just say that we'd have had more than one this season.

It most certainly should have been given if Anthony Taylor really, really wanted to prove my point...

Rooney canned by Birmingham after about 15 games, lol.

What is it with that former golden generation of great footballers all being terrible managers?

Neville lasted about 10 minutes at Valencia. Rooney took Birmingham from 5th to 20th in just a couple months. Gerrard’s flopping in Saudi after flopping at Villa and Lampard does no good wherever he goes.

1. Not all players have the mindset to be a coach or manager.

2. Too often they have not done the "hard yards"
in clubs/leagues lower than the ones they get their
first appointments to.

So #1 is about being made of the "right stuff"
(visions of how the game should be played,
extracting the fear/respect from your players etc) .

And #2 is about finding out whether #1 is true,
and where if failure does occur, there is less public
scrutiny on the matter.
