The press thought that there was an issue with Martial this morning, too. He turned up in his car, went into the training ground and came straight back out and left. Turns out that there was no training that morning, as it was in the afternoon!
Newcastle's owners are murdery, oppressive scumbags: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-owners-directly-involved-human-30939947 I considered putting this in the No ****, Sherlock thread.
On a separate note, has anyone seen this? Dodgy as ****. Yet I’m meant to believe there’s no corruption.
I won't name the manager, but I've heard convincing rumours about this. A couple of his ex-players are currently being prosecuted for blackmailing him. His identity's being concealed in that case and a ban could compromise it.
A couple of players with ties to Merseyside, as one was in Saltypool's academy and the other Everton's, before both wound up at Tranmere...
If anyone's wondering why there are two Championship games tonight, then I'll tell you. Southampton v Leicester was picked for TV, which is fair enough. Makes sense. Two recently relegated sides who'll both fancy their chances at promotion. Hull v Coventry was moved because Hull FC have a Super League game tomorrow. That's at the same stadium. That pitch is going to be ****ed. They've got Leeds there on Wednesday. Oh dear.
To a player called Palacios. Shame. Absolutely laughable penalty, though: Xabi Alonso's side will still be top of the table after this round of games, no matter what happens.
