Meanwhile we’re on the verge of handing a new contract to Eric Dier…

Firmino's turned down a new contract and Milner's due a telegram from the King.
Oxo-Cube and Keita were absolute wastes of money and should've been out years ago.
Liverpool's entire midfield badly needs an overhaul. They could virtually start from scratch.

Their mediocrity/ has-beens are going though, ours is getting a new deal and probably won’t be the last, if I were still a betting man I’d go big on Sessegnon signing a new one too.

The FA have revealed what referee Paul Tierney said to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp when booking the German during the Reds’ 4-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month:
https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/fa-release-what-referee-paul-26943524

Tierney shows his bias towards Liverpool and Klopp still chucked him under the bus:
‘Mr Brooks contacted Mr Tierney and said: “Jurgen Klopp has just run and celebrated in my face. I think it’s a yellow card mate, minimum.”

‘It is clear that Mr Brooks considered Mr Klopp’s conduct to be misplaced celebration rather than an aggressive or threatening move. Mr Tierney responded, saying that he had not seen what happened and needed advice whether the sanction should be a yellow or red card.

‘The Video Assistant Referee reviewed the video footage and advised, “Confirming yellow card. Confirming yellow card Jurgen Klopp.”

‘Armed with this confirmation Mr Tierney went to Mr Klopp and showed him a yellow card, saying: “Right…I have to show you yellow. …it could be red, but I am going to show you yellow. He said yellow. We will give you the benefit of the doubt, don’t do anything more.”

‘Mr Klopp’s frustrated reaction can be clearly seen in the video footage.’

Should've sent Jota off. Didn't. Should've sent Klopp off. Didn't. Awarded the FA Cup Final.

Good to watch a team led by a manager who can change tactics at half time. De Zerbi is Italian but the polar opposite to Conte.

Conte is an example of when a manager is so dogmatic about their system they persist with it even when they don't have the players who can make it work - which exactly what happened when Bentancur and Bissouma were ruled out for lengthy periods, so we had nobody who could move the ball progressively yet he cast Skipp and Hojbjerg in that role to maintain the system

Well done Newcastle.Brighton's defence could drive their fans crazy. Did they think they were playing beach football?

Klopp's received a two game ban for his comments about Tierney after our game.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has received a two-match ban for comments he made about referee Paul Tierney after his side's 4-3 victory over Tottenham in April:

Completely insufficient punishment for a serial offender. Won't give him the slightest pause.
Utterly pointless.

Apparently the second game under the ban is suspended until next season?!

If so, I've never heard of such nonsense. It means he'll be in the dugout for their final game of the season, because heaven forfend their bid for top 4 should be too disrupted.

Makes absolutely no sense.
If they said the ban would start after the next game then maybe they could claim "reasons" but to start the ban then suspend it for one random game is beyond stupid.
