fingers crossed the “new manager bounce” gets a result against Arsenal at the weekend. Brilliant timing.
Getting sacked when you’re sitting in 12th with a club like Palace seems harsh on the outset but when you realise there’s just 5 points separating 12th to 20th you can then perhaps understand why. Quite a unique relegation battle for the final 1/3 of the season, not sure I remember a situation where 9 teams were all in potential danger for the business end.
Methinks they had already decided that the PL title is the highest priority, given it would take a "black swan" run of form to not finish in the PL top 4. Therefore the EL could be treated as a "nice to have" + potential "stretch the legs" for fringe / injury returning squad players. Citeh OTOH are expected to remain competitive in both the PL and CL fights (they would sacrifice the former this season if they could guarantee the latter) .
Sorry don't want to be pedantic but that's actually the Mysterons agent, and all round bad guy Captain Black, and yes he is a dead ringer. This on the other hand is Captain Scarlet and all round good guy and clearly nothing like him!
And I thought it was Colonel Mustard and Mrs White up to no good in the library but it was Captain Black all along. Captain Black in the Emirates with a lawn mower.
At the start of this clip Sporting were out of Europe, having lost at home to Frankfurt: Hojbjerg's goal won us the group, but also put the Lisbon team back in 3rd place. Marseille finished bottom and exited completely. Who gave the ball away? Guendouzi, the ex-filth, bastard son of David Luiz!
I had completely forgotten about that goal , what a strike, I take it that's the Marseille manager totally freaking out on the pitch
Igor Tudor, doing his nut at the non-existent defence. Especially painful for him, as he was best known as a centre-half for Juve. That sort of **** would not go down well in Turin! He's got that ****show up to 2nd in Ligue 1, so he's doing something right.
So you're saying Poundland David Luiz was ultimately responsible for Arsenal getting knocked out of Europe? I fully endorse this narrative.
