He barely plays though, outside of the Europey. Not sure how he's supposed to improve.
I think you may have expected a different player when you signed him.
I heard that he was supposed to be a holding midfielder and he doesn't look like one at all.

I do understand that. But when you’ve got better players in front of you, you’re going to have to accept that you’ll have limited game time (barring injury). So when you do get minutes, you have to make it count and prove what you’re capable of. He hasn’t.

Tomiyasu doesn’t start much anymore but always is dependable when he plays. Likewise Tierney. And although he was poor today, even Fabio Vieira contributes with G/A when he plays.

Today wasn’t the first time that Sambi hid from receiving the ball or wanted to play a safe pass rather than progressing forward. He was similar against Oxford United a couple weeks ago.

He doesn’t seem to suit being an #8, #6 or #10. If he doesn’t suit any of those positions, what’s the point of him being here?

Everton fans so peed off with watching their club lose went to see Forest Green where Duncan Ferguson has just taken over as manager , 1 up after 18 mins and lost to 94th and 98th min goals <doh>

I see Chelski have got their signing for today. I wonder who is going to sign tomorrow? He is understood to have joined on a 77 year lease, no money up front and all payable in incremental chunks of 10p from 2050. His agent says he is so glad that his client will be playing for such a big club. Not big in terms of status of course, but big in the sense that they are intending to field an unusual 10-6-4 formation. Of course their current transfer policy offsets getting players in this window against the fact that a fraction of their fees have technically already been spent over the course of many years into the future. This is based on them getting rescued (again) by powers unknown which in football accountancy terms is known as "doing a Barca".

NB the takeover price was £4.25 billion, the value of the club is approx £2.5 billion though different figures are available, and seem to include stadium value which I believe Chelsea cannot actually sell. Plus they didn't have to repay the Abramovich loan of course. How can one club get so lucky? One day I hope they implode like they deserve to.

They will have an entire Chelsea team in each of the five top leagues before long. The loan system should be restricted to academy players or back to the selling club for a period no longer than one year. For over 25’s it should be only loans with obligation to buy.

Their net spend since Boehly took over is just shy of half a £billion.

They have 20 players out on loan, including 5 goalkeepers.

They are the epitome of everything wrong with modern football, and have been for 20 years.

And I will take this opportunity to mention (not for the first time) that I hate them far more than I hate Arsenal.

I definitely thought Fabinho’s was a red, nasty raking challenge that. He seemed to even think so himself judging by his reaction.
