I thought that at the time, they probably felt that being hit by a hobbit doesn’t constitute to genuine foul play/ reckless behaviour.
There were loads of slow mo replays of the incident which have mysteriously been taken down on Twitter. Funny that… I think what’s even more shocking is the linesman has direct view of the incident and saw nothing wrong with it. Just so utterly useless.
The worst thing about Premier League officials this season is that so many of their non-responses are examples of bystander apathy: in this case the linesman sees the incident, but assumes the referee saw it and will take responsibility by either blowing the whistle or calling for VAR. But because neither happens, they just stand there and do nothing, and the Premier League try to remove as much evidence of their officials being useless at their job
It looks like he goes for 3, to me. Bailey said that he asked the ref about it and was told that he was doing it too. What a load of bollocks. Arsenal's Anthony Taylor at his best. Peter Bankes on VAR, presumably having a snooze.

Swiss Ramble has this : There seems to be three significant clusters of clubs (Spurs are in the second cluster) . What the clusters mean, and why Benfica + Man Utd are where they are, I know not.
I popped into Barnes and Noble (booksellers) in Lexington,Ky today to spend a birthday gift card. I was quite upset to see 2 Liverpool football magazines (different) on the racks. Bloody cheek,I thought!!!!!!!
Indeed. But it won't be Chinese owners of course. It would be "The not really Chinese government Investment Company Limited (absolutely not affiliated with the Chinese government)". Phew! say the Premier League, that's a relief.
Quite a clear out of London PL teams in the League Cup tonight - Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Palace & West Ham
