Sporting's keeper may have just had the worst performance in the CL this season. Possibly ever.
His team went 1-0 up after a minute, then he went into self-destruct mode.
Kicked the ball into Sanchez for 1-1, gave the ball away for 2-1, then got sent off. <doh>

I thought he looked dodgy when we played them. Seemed to lack confidence coming to claim crosses and we just didn't test him enough on the night. Spilled a few simple gathers and didn't command his area well at all. Just a shame that we only had one player on the pitch who could deliver a ball in.

Fabio Silva is playing up front for Anderlecht against Wet Spam in the Conference thingy.
He's on loan from Wolves, who he's scored more league goals than.
He has 4 to their 3. Podence is their lead scorer with 2.

Reminiscent of Crystal Palace loaning out Sorloth in the 19/20 season.
He scored 33 goals in all competitions for Trabsonspor in Turkey.
Palace scored 32 in all competitions, going out of both cups without scoring and finishing 14th.

Forest have given Steve Cooper a new deal.

Like to see that, I like him as a manager anyway but newly promoted clubs have had a thing of binning off their managers early in a season, to often no avail, good to see their sticking by the bloke that got them promoted.

But not the players?

But not the players?
They didn't actually have a large number of big sales in the summer, believe it or not.
It sounds odd due to the high level of turnover, but they kept a lot of their starters.
They had six loanees who they lost, including Spence who joined us.
Their keeper joined Lens, Grabban chased the cash in Saudi and Figueredo joined Hull, all on frees.
They shipped out a lot of fringe players, plus they had a few retirements.

Forest are going to struggle because they've made so many changes.
They didn't have a lot of choice in the matter, though.
Johnson, Yates, McKenna, Worall and Colback were all retained.
The rest of their main starters left without them having a say.

But not the players?

They have to be fair.

Samba refused to sign a new deal so that’s why they sold him and got Henderson this season.

Garner and Spence were on loan so had to replace them.

McKenna, Cook and Worrall remain their back 3. Yates plays in most games. Johnson’s still their star man.

There’s only about 4 or 5 new players in the XI, despite the shed load they brought in.
