I’ve been watching the Commonweath Games.
So were the VAR officials.
Whilst essentially the same group of underperforming, uncommitted players aren’t going to be transformed overnight, it was worrying that ten Hag seems to have coached them to play in just the same way!!
There was nothing about the team today which represented any form of improvement in any way whatsoever. In fact, they were worse. Played 50 minutes with no threat in front of goal to begin with. Brought in a 5’9” centre half who looks like he will be a liability against the threats he will face in every game in the PL. It was a good job Brighton didn’t have too many corners or set pieces. Dunk could have caused havoc.
I don’t think any other top ten team needs to fret over playing Utd. More Ronaldo miracles needed, but unlikely this time.

I do find it odd just how flat you looked. Miracles don't happen overnight but new managers tend to make some changes that are generally visible from match day one, especially if they've had a pre-season to work with the team, yet anyone could've been mistaken for thinking Rangnick was still in the dugout today.
As for Martinez, it was a poor debut that should've been capped by conceding a penalty. It's early days but I think ten Hag either needs to push Martinez into midfield as a DM or switch to a back three to get the best out of him, otherwise I think a 5'9 CB partnering Maguire has the makings for a new comedy sketch.

This is how you deal with serious allegations made against one of your employees. You don't need to suspend or sack them, after all 'innocent until proven guilty' should prevail.
But nowadays, there is rarely smoke without flames. And so at the very least, your moral duty is to make the public aware that you take such allegations very seriously and make the employee in question aware that you are watching their conduct very closely given the grave nature of the allegations at hand.
It really isn't that difficult. Burying one's head in the corporate sand just doesn't pass muster in this day and age.

You are right about pushing him into DM though at the moment as we just don't have one. Very surprised Malacia didn't start too.

Do you watch much of the Eredivisie? It's a good technical league but has nowhere near the level of physicality as the Prem, I'd win headers over there and I'm too lazy to jump. He got bullied by your old player today and should've conceded a penalty too. Partnering him with Maguire as well is just gonna ruin the guy's Utd career before it's even begun.

How does acknowledging the existence of allegations influence a jury, when literally the entire world knows that those allegations have been filed and one of three since dropped on a technicality? This is nothing more than the club saying "we are aware of the nature of these allegations and want the world to know that we take them very seriously". What's wrong with that? So United were wrong with issuing a statement about and then effectively suspending then?
And Wales were wrong to put giggs on gardening leave?
Arsenal have badly handled this imho.
Because by ostracising him you are already leaning toward the guilty conclusion.
Let the law take it's course and act on the verdict.

Conceded against every English opponent, be interesting to see what his aerial duel success was like in those games though.
For your sake at least I hope he keeps that success rate in the Prem, personally I can't see it. And he's being thrown into the thick of it having Maguire as his CB partner.
I think that if i was accused of a crime and my company told me not to bother coming in tomorrow i would sue the arse off them if found innocent for deformation of character and loss of earnings.
