Very different players, in my opinion. You could even pair them together against some teams.

Yeah very different. I don’t think Tielemans is as good off the ball but is a more directly attacking presence in midfield. I think he’s good and if we could snap him up on the cheap with one year left then he could be an option as a CM with the right partner, and would probably work as a 10 as well if we wanted to. I like his play around the box and control in tight spaces (ironically, given the genesis of this discussion!)

Burnley sacked Sean Dyche. Just feels wrong to imagine anyone else managing them! Odd timing too considering they don’t even seem to have a replacement lined up for the game this weekend. Hardly a ‘new manager bounce’ situation is it.

Very odd decision.

Not sure who they’re considering unless it’s Big Sam who is essentially another Dyche-type anyway.

Its more, why do it on Friday? If they’re not happy with his management then why let him train and prepare the whole week then have some novices on the touchline for the weekend? Must have been some sort of behind the scenes blow-up

Having done an away day to Burnley, you can tell it’s an area that doesn’t exactly have the brightest sparks around…

A good an explanation as any.

Had a quick look at their/Everton fixture list, and there is no
way you would give up on Dyche-ball right now.
