Their starting line up cost them over £450m. Money very well spent. I'd say De Gea is the only player in that entire team to have justified his price tag.
The worst thing is the total capitulation when it went to 3-1. It was bad enough when they were consistently second to the ball when defending, but just giving up is unforgivable. The only people more disappointed than Utd fans are Liverpool fans; City gift wrapped 3 easy points and a boost to their goal difference. Utd are woeful.
McTominay. Cost nothing. Not sure Lingard was even worth that, on that performance. Came on after 64 minutes, apparently.
Top comment on the BBC article: The Maguire position of watching what's going on but not taking part has now been added to the Kama Sutra.
Place your bets, our match will be postponed due to a.) Snow b.) Covid c.) The sudden urge to sing "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" by the Ink Spots
Thoughts on this? http://www.soccer-blogger.com/2021/...cavani-disallowed-goal-vs-tottenham-2021-var/
A player being hit in the face and going down holding his face? From your own article: "Some fans felt it was similar to this Lamela red card incident v Arsenal, when he struck Tierney in the face, and that McTominay should’ve seen a card as well." Thoughts on the Lamela/Tierney incident?
I have no thoughts or real cares about Tierney, Son or Tierney v2. It's all just quite amusing seeing ****housery. That's why it's ****-housing....rivals getting annoyed is part of the reason it happens. I thought you were on the windup initially but you're actually annoyed about it? In which case, I completely agree, Tierney should have been sent off and banned for 10 games for his deceit. Absolute disgrace. We should have the 3pts taken off us and 3 more just for good measure. In fact, take as many off us as you need so that Spurs can overtake us.
For anyone that missed it, Roy Keane gives a perfect summary. Looks like he might kill Micah Richards at the end, though.
Some incredibly poor refereeing from Spain: https://streamff.com/v/37af44 If he'd have let play continue for a second, then he'd have been fine. As it is, he ends up with both teams criticising him. Cartagena scored from the resulting free-kick though, so they probably weren't that bothered: https://streamja.com/0j9na
The problem is, you just know that after this kind of venting from a former United legend, they will find a performance in their next game...against Spurs. The same thing happened the week before the game at WHL.
