See BigSmithy, this is where its good to be really old (I'm 80 tomorrow <yikes>) but it means we saw the cream of our club. The very best side ever in our history. They brought us so much never to be forgotten joy & pleasure & as the years roll on you appreciate it even more, if thats possible. I so wish that todays fans could experience even a fraction of the success we had. Hats off to them for their support with so little reward, not to mention the cost! It was sixpence for us as kids & then a shilling as adults (5p). 1 penny or tuppence for the programme, can't quite remember. I loved Saturday afternoons down the Lane, used to stroke all the police horses outside the ground before going in <laugh> to enjoy the band & lady soloist. So glad my Dad took me in 1947 for my first match, age 5, I've never forgotten it!:emoticon-0117-talki COME ON YOU SPURS, WIN SOMETHING SOON - PLEASE -FOR TODAYS FANS
Many Happy Returns for tomorrow, Maggie! <cheers>

I thought it would be end to end in Paris today, but no. It took a nasty foul by Casamero to bring Real into it. Touch of the old Leeds. If you can't beat 'em.Beat 'em up!

p.s. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAGGIE PERSON!!!!! I'm 82 in November. You're trying to catch me aren't you. ( I have a 61 year old girlfriend who is as jealous as .... if I look at any one else! I'm sure she's got a gun somewhere!!!!)

Yeah. My mum would be pleased!!!!?

I can remember the Spurs band marching up and down the pitch with us kids praying the leader dropped his baton after throwing it.....sometimetimes he did. He got a bloody loud cheer which probably made his day!!!

Brighton outplaying and dominating Man Utd. But it’s 0-0. A chorus of boos rings around The Theatre of Screams at half-time.

Are they trying to draw their way to 4th?

"Brighton have played very, very well. They have looked the better side even though Manchester United look like going away with the points." - Mark Lawrenson

How often is this said about Brighton, though? I don't think it's a coincidence.
A generous red card via VAR helps, of course.

If they had the kane from previous seasons they'd comfortably be 4th imho

Would that be the sort of red card that teams in red don't get?
