Don't think any of us are getting carried away, there is hardly a Spurs fan anywhere who wasn't expecting a Watford equaliser this afternoon.

But what we will enjoy is a league table with us top with 3 clean sheets, and your lot bottom without a goal scored.

I was only teasing PNP, TCM. I’m sure most of you know the likelihood of winning the league is minuscule. Needless to say, social media has been a nightmare with all the Spurs - Arsenal comparisons though!

3 wins, 3 losses.
3 clean sheets, 3 blank scoreboards.
9 points, -9 goal difference.

All looks lovely to me! <laugh>

Told you you should've got Rafa.

My position on Arteta even before we got knocked out of the EL semi-finals was that, irrespective of whether he won the Europa or not, I wanted him gone. Over his entire tenure, and in the league especially, I hadn’t been convinced by a lot of the transfers, decisions and team selections he’d been making.

And whilst I don’t doubt winning the FA Cup and the EL in 2 seasons would have extended his goodwill amongst both the club and many supporters, there simply isn’t a justifiable excuse for the scale of decline in style of play and results in the league.

Cup competitions would only mask that, as we know all too well based on Wenger‘s time at the club and Arteta lasting for as long as he has.

I don’t see any significant changes happening though either until we stumble across a gem of a manager like you did with Poch or we get a totally new ownership who are more proactive. Both seem like a long shot.

Off the pitch. You're allowed to maim attackers as long as it isn't on the pitch.
No, your'e not.

But if a defender slips trying to block a pass and you collide with him and fall on him it seems there is no punishment either. No surprise there since it's a contact sport and no harm was done to anyone or even close.

The first sentence was unnecessary as I was clearly joking . Secondly did he slip or did he launch into the tackle. Looked deliberate to me.
